Do you believe all this crap Sugarcane?
This is same bloke who hasnt openly said all players are not equal. Lesser lights are treated differently to star players.
And spare me the "pure honestly" crap.
This is the same bloke who blatantly lied about the Stephen Milne incident and was forced to apologise for trying to worm his way out of an incident instead of taking responsibility for his actions.
Yes Mick is doing a good job, yes Mick deserves some patience and support but spare me the Mother Teresa sermon.
Some of you people need to get a grasp of reality. Malthouse is a successful coach of years gone by and hopefully he can bring some success to Carlton but he has plenty of frailties as well.
If you're expecting something other than a footy football coach in his latter years of career you're going to be very disappointed because thats the reality.
He isnt the panacea sent to save our club. He is a small part of the puzzle.
I think your missing the point
Maybe the poetic nature of my post got the better of you
It's ok to admit you were moved by it, be it positively or other lol
Seriously though, you must be out of your mind if you think I think Malthouse is the second coming and it all rests on him and he's God like
If anything his frailties are appealing, as he knows too well there's no guarantees and the best we can do us be disciplined, and stick to the plan, and weed out those who won't adhere and who lack the mental fortitude under pressure
He's not the savior, but he's bloody close to it because at the end of the day the HC is mightily important - just look at the fiasco at Melbourne
Malthouse is an old coach but he's a recent Premiership coach whose shown he is capable of changing his ways - that's a rare breed in an old coach
He's also been able to extract good, consistent effort from our chargers already as illustrated by the low losing margins
And as per my other thread it appears the players mostly are on side with him because he keeps the message simple and consistent
He does appear to me on the outside looking in to be about as good a coach as we could have hoped to have got
He's ticking nearly every single box
To be honest I couldn't give a rats arse if he's not the nicest guy and is moody and can't accept publicly some of his errors in previous years
I never said he's a saint nor ought to be one
We are very much richer for having him at the club
But he's not everything and there are other important variables
I must admit BV I don't read a lot of your posts, partly because I've formed a view that you tend to be overtly negative
I hope I'm wrong about you and if so you can accept my apology - I don't spend hours in here every day so can't read everyone's posts
