Should be kicked out of the leadership group that he should never have been in

Once again revealed that he's an idiot and not deserving of a spot in the leadership group.

Might as well take 1 week, can't see them downgrading it.

Tackling someone head first into the ground is not the same as headbutting someone, so I'm not sure what you mean by consistency?

Otherwise known as a headbutt.

Can you please point out any other examples of even one person (or half the league if you can) giving someone a headbutt and it being given a free kick or nothing at all?

Whatever someone else did that's worse doesn't absolve Waite of any responsibility.
In a way I'm glad he misses a week. Stupidity shouldn't go unpunished.

Doesn't matter and I don't care what others do. What Waite did was immature, stupid and selfish. The club should punish him as well.

Figured he'd get at least one week as soon as I saw it.

Dumb. Stupid. Foolish.

For all of Synbad's hyperbole he has nailed this one quite succinctly: Standards need to rise!

He should be fined for his stupidity.

If someone had taken a hard line with his brain-fades earlier in his career he may have had them under control by now.

No, a head butt is forcefully ramming your head into someone else's, there was less force in that than any of the jumper punches in the last 100 years. Waite is a moron for putting himself in that situation as he is being suspended because of reputation and trial by media. No one else(currently playing) would be suspended for that. If we don't appeal i will be very disappointed, the club can fine him for being an idiot after he gets off for putting himself in the situation.

He should be made to go down to the local youth centre and advise the uncouth youths that head-butting is not acceptable.

Do uncouth youths still headbutt people these days?

Please describe to me what Waite did, then, because it looks like he forcefully rammed his head into someone else's.

It wasn't a cracking forehead to the nose type job, but what he did fits your description perfectly.

Always with the knives!

In my day it was the merely a headbutt followed by relieving you of your possessions.

If you failed to have sufficient possessions, a kick to the guts was permissible.

Probably would have missed through injury anyway.

We will be loving him when he bags 5 against the power.

Not even mad with him anymore.

It's just sad to see a young man struggling so badly with the sort of self control most of us learn before we're teenagers.
