When was the last time Kruezer was played forward for half a game, let alone a full game or 2 or even 3?
The misconception that he is purely a ruckman and not a forward is just that. It's nearly as bad as Kruezer being a midfielder!
For whatever reason we have refused to play him as a dedicated forward for a period of time and this to me is the biggest travesty in the AFL currently. Hopefully Warnock will hold his place and excel in the ruck and maybe, just maybe force our hand to play Humphrey forward and maybe even convince him he is a good forward!
If we can give Hampson 2 years as a forward, surely it's time to give Kruezer 2 months. Even if he himself doesn't like it.
Paul Salmon the big tall lanky ruckman was turned into a deadly weapon as a FF.
I don't daoubt for a minute that Kreuzer can surpass that benchmark.
I know what I've seen from both.
I just happen to have spent a fair bit of time with Fish down the Peninsula and seen him and other mates playing for the Bombers. Kreuzer would eat him.
Kreuser is big hard and fast...and he's going to get stronger in 2 years time (same age Cox hit his straps having come through the ranks as a rookie...late bloomer really),
Kreuzer is a freak/ He can play a role anywhere...he's even capable of it now.
Play him as a FF and he'll eat that after the team learns to play to him...as is the case with all multiple goal goalkickers...if the team plan is to use the FF as a decoy then dont ex[ect big numbers from him.
..its not about being the best in the universe at that position its more about playing a role and Im sure Kreuzer the pure footballer is capable of comprehending and putting his orders into action.
Kreuzer isnt expected to kick Fevola type of figures, nor a bag, but if he can be connected to a dozen goals or more then thats a team win if they are all goals
In Kreuzer I believe. In 2-3 years time he'll be kicking bags week in week out. Capable.
