Our Membership is crawling at the moment ,42000+ fans is clearly not good enough for a club like Carlton.
Not sure how you consider 42,000 a crawl. We're well on track to post record membership.

I just wonder if appointing Mick Malthouse and not Paul Roos has TURNED former members off becoming members for this year.
Paul Roos declined to be considered for the Carlton senior coach position. Given the media coverage at the time, I'm at a complete loss that someone didn't know this - however if you were hiding under a rock in Afghanistan during that time - thank you for your service.

Not only do we have less members than pies, tigers, hawks and dons but we also have less support at these games.
Not quite correct there. We had an average of 42,036 attend our home games last season. That's on par with Essendon*, but more than Richmond. It was 4,000 less than Hawthorn and 7,000 less than Collingwood.

Against Richmond even though it was our home game I believe they had more supporters
Probably about a 60/40 split our way (considering home game memberships) from the 80,971 in attendence - but they certainly made more noise. It's a little irrelevant from my point of view anyway - as we split roughly $700,000 in gate takings from Thursday night - so the more people who turn up, the better off we are. Richmond fans will come out of the woodwork....they might have 52,000 members - but don't focus too much on the number where they're concerned - we could finish 10,000 members behind them but still have the same revenue derived from membership sales.
