All the guys wanting ratts out last year are now protecting MM and blaming ratts for everything.
All the guys that wanted Ratts to stay are attacking MM.
1st half of the game - Massive fail for MM
2nd half of the game - Pretty much Ratts style and we nearly won the game.
I think MM found out last night that his 2010 gameplan probably won't work in 2013. It definitely won't work without a couple key forwards taking and kicking goals.
Lots of work to be done, but have to give him time.
How the hell was t Ratten style?
The three most influential players were Walker / Gibbs and Judd.
Walker and Gibbs didnt play their Ratten patent positions.. and it was a more shared effort than give it to the champ style Ratts had.
Then the cameos of Eddie in the middleand Yarran almost stealing it at half forward.
I think youre dreaming with your eyes open.......
I was talking about game style, not positional changes. Anyway, cant be bothered explaining, have a good easter
The gamestyle is just footy... its what he did with the pieces over 5 years that bothers .
Havng the major players in our comeback doing totally different roles to the ones that Ratts gave them cant be the Ratten gameplan.. sorry...
cos if Yarran /Gibbs were floating around half back.
Judd was the main man
and Walker was at full forward means that what we saw with our very own eyes in the last quarter could not have been the Ratts gameplan.... sorry.
My Easter??... its in another month!!... but yeah i had a good non-Orthodox Good Friday

Gday Synbad,
You need to work on your schtick when it comes to Walker. It is all over the place. You use to bag Ratts for not playing him forward.
Then Walker left telling Ratts he wanted to play forward. He has one good season there and then tells Malthouse he is keen on the backline after playing a decent game or two there in 2012.
1st half :- long bombs down the line to 3 on 1s. Kicking so long that our players pushing back had no chance of getting to the contest to create a squeeze. Then those players trying to get there are caught in between and watch the ball fly over their heads as the tigers easily turn defence into attack. Clearances terrible as the instructions appear to leave stoppages way open rather than the use tactics that have had us up the charts in clearances over the last few years. Keeping it tight only letting it out on our terms.
2nd Half ;- Run and carry keeping numbers around the ball. The odd player cheating forward of play (mclean). Shoot out.
Probably just habit but the Ratts style worked better. I was suprised Malthouse gave up on his that easy. I always thought he was more stubborn than that. I am sure he will revert though and try and build a team of players that can do what he wants not a team where he lets them do what they want to do and tries to get the best out of them molding that.
Still needs to work on their steel before anything though. Fold too easy.
