Surprised a bit.
Adds to the excitement.
Mick's made his mark and challenged a few players it seems: true to his word.
Expect him to play 35 players at a min this year...hopefully not because of injury...that's him.
He has to develop a whole list let alone best 25 and that will take time for all to learn.
I hope Webster in the Bullants knows the game plan.
I like Walker as a lead up as it makes him come to the ball and get more involved than NAB.
He should go OK on the big wwwide MCG.
No doubt I would have selected Laidler ahead of Bootsma, and Bell ahead of a couple of others.
I'd also have Waite and Scotland in too if I could. They'll be knocking on the door in 3-4 weeks.
Everyone knows their position is not guaranteed, hence the Laidler move.
I reckon there's a bit of shock factor for the Carlton fraternity behind that move. I do feel that Laidler's kicking was off in the early NAB games, and I did like what Joseph did in the NAB even moreso than Lucas

but that's me. Lucas deserves his spot but he's going to have to play well to keep it.
I expect a huge improvement in form from NAB stuff from Carrazzo, Simpson, Yarran, Tuohy, Walker, Betts and Garlett. 10% improvement from those guys and we win by 10 goals. I don't expect all of them to fire but I do so from Carrazzo, Simmo and Tex.
We MUST win. MUST. Can't wait........bloody nervous too.
4 goal win for mine. Hammer will give them headaches, and so will Casboult.
I agree.
If Hammer and Casboukt are up and about, and our mids can pump it in long, I think they can really surprise a few doubters and pile on a heap of goals (particularly with Eddie crumbing).
I think Chaplin is a good addition, but I still don't rate their back line that highly.
