Why are we being dragged into this. So now forgetting Essendons big dramas are they, hardly any mention about that recentky, only positives.

Oh dont forget how bad Scotland is, makes all the last two weeks of AFL drama seems so small what he did!!

West Coast went to the priority pick well twice.
In 2007 - 15 wins - 3rd on the ladder
In 2008 - 4 wins - 2nd last on the ladder
In 2009 - 8 wins - mid table
In 2010 - 4 wins - last on the ladder.

Managed to get the 4 wins- not 5 wins - in 2 seasons. In 2008 got Nic-Nat, In 2010 got Gaff and Darling. Anyone who got a priority pick would have to be under suspicion - unless one is "young and naive" enough to think otherwise.

They (West Coast) are my tip for the flag (barring injuries) this year.

Clever refuting here from Worsfold on why it wasn't tanking. They will have a tough time proving it against teams that masked it cleverly. Melbourne's crime was being blatant about it.

The problem is once you start investigating this they will have to prosecute Collingwood, Hawthorn, Carlton and West Coast equally. You can't meter out one harsh penalty to one club and easy ones on others. Can of worms I would think. To quote - McCartney, I think it is time to "Let it Be". It was a flawed concept.

True, half of the competition would have to be investigated. Would be just our luck that they find Collingwood tanked for the 2nd half of the 2005 season (which they did) and Malthouse is suspended from coaching.

I think we made damn sure we didn't win five games. We just weren't as stupid going about it as Melbourne.

Well you could look at many games in the 2010 season for starters- but how about this one (as per the link below vs Port)...but keep in mind you won't find any EVIDENCE of tanking. It is just a whole lot of odd team selections that just happen to happen when one is "experimenting".
West Coast lost this round 2 match to Port by under a goal and then lost the return match by under a goal in round 20. I guess it was just a lot of "fortunate coincidences" that West Coast ended up with four wins for the season. (much like Gillard and the AWU situation there seems to be a lot of "fortunate coincidences")

Also keep in mind that I don't want West Coast investigated. I think the farce of priority picks is now over- the rule has been changed, let's forget it as we won't know where it ends and will only do damage to the brand. If Carlton is investigated AGAIN (they found no evidence), though, then I think we should have an equal investigation into West Coast, Hawthorn and Collingwood.

http://www.watoday.com.au/afl/afl-news/ ... -rl1t.html

"The starkly practical call to drop Quinten Lynch from the match which would have seen him equal Glen Jakovich's record for consecutive games for the club was the talking point throughout Perth, overshadowing Warren Tredrea's 250th game.

That decision was made all the more odd with Mark LeCras already sidelined by a sore hamstring. If Worsfold had a plan C for his forward line, it was not apparent.

Kennedy's lone forward furrow was a fruitful one, with his four goals keeping the home side in the contest along with Nic Naitanui's efforts. But his tally for the match was equaled by Davenport in the final term."

And you thought West Coast was a "crap team". In 2011 they came 4th with 17 wins, the previous season they won 4. That is quite a turnaround for a "crap team".

Afl made it clear with their ambiguous decision on Melbourne, that they can't and won't take it further with any other team.

Freo started it; Haselby was the prize.

Silly Libba one out here destined to never coach again in afl -oh apart from support from Hollywood Fevola - Crossica Ratten both interviewed by AFL -both emphatic about not tanking

the used car salesman Hutchy - redredging up old news - saw evidence of playing Jamison instead of thorton at FB as proof of tanking in the interview -nice one hutch
