Looks like this thread's done.

That was all rather transparent...

Let's not delude ourselves that TC is representative of Carlton members or Carlton supporters though. We're all sort of Weird al Jankovic-ish. Except you & TBB probably, and camelboy.

I'm more your Derek Smalls actually.

Thanks Ruffy,

This is a learning curve for not only board members and staff, but for supporters as well. There are many supporters who are wary of the board suddenly listening to members because they don't believe any affirmative action will be taken. It is important for supporters to have a voice - not just at AGM's, but through sessions like last Tuesday night and through contact with yourself. While you didn't exactly nail the brief - your efforts in instigating this should be applauded. I would strongly encourage you to leverage the expertise of the communications staff at the football club. Foremost, they are the professionals in this area. Secondly, anything communications related emanating from a board member, unless otherwise stated, is automatically perceived to have come from the clubs communications department. With the assistance of the staff at the football club - there should be no reason for you not to step in front of the camera again.

The open dialogue, engagement and transparency being promoted by board and staff alike should encourage more supporters (if done correctly), as we get closer to the football season.

There is a big difference in promoting transparency and it actually happening.
the club have had online discussions between supporters and key men such as our esteemed president and we arn't doing anything wrong according to him. Nothing different.

Seriously mate you can carry on with the smart lingo but the bottom line which is obvious to me there wont be significant change until
the Pratts and the Mathiesons dont have the power and we dont have puppet president Kernahan strung up by the strings these families pull.
I am hoping like yell that Fahour's presence has a major impact in bringing real change.

Yet had you attended Tuesday night you would have heard board members and staff alike suggest they need to get a lot better at engaging the fan.

Kernahan will be gone as President within the year. But the benevolent business model is here to stay. It has kept the club you love alive. It will (we hope) keep paying off the debt. It's far from ideal, but it's here to stay.

I think like many, he may we willing to give them a shot but god forbid they stuff up or care to ignore the supporters/members again, and fair enough.

We will have to remember though that there may be glitches in the process but as long as momentum is kept up, the desired result will come about/must come about.

If Ruffy had a good look around some of these threads and saw the number of rants from certain poster relating to all sorts of issues including trying to start a ranting dialogue around why people think they should have been at the pub the other night I could imagine why he would lose interest in taking anything the ranter says serious even if he did raise the occasional good point.
Its all too much about the ranter than CFC.

I am enjoying Docs latest work. Things are going the way he wanted it to go and he is now giving it every chance to succeed.

I never did share any of my holiday snaps with you did I? One of my favorites was this beauty of Vladimir. "Koutoufides took 18 marks, yes? I love the Kouta. Body like Ivan Drago" What a guy! Loves Malthouse. Wants him in the Kremlin once he wins a flag at Carlton.

Actually I've just this minute got back from the Hyundai dealership. King Kenny took me for a spin in his the other night, so this morning I went out and bought one. It's that easy! Go Blues!

No, we went for the 'All New Elantra'. Thought about the i30, but took both for a spin down the highway and the Carlton scarf out the window just performed aerodynamically better in the Elantra than the i30.

Putin is my hero.. and he is actuaally saying what you need to do is get rid of Carltons Oligarchs and reclaim power for Carlton.

I can see the usuals have rocked up

Boys there is an old saying that is sooooooo true

"Talk is cheap"
Saying that we want supporters to be heard and actually seeing evidence of it are two different things

And cazz attacking the man and not the issue is pretty much old boring news.

Why dont you come up with something new

Another one is the one thing constant is change

If we rely on the hands that have fed us for 40 years we are [REDACTED]
