Thanks Ruffy,
This is a learning curve for not only board members and staff, but for supporters as well. There are many supporters who are wary of the board suddenly listening to members because they don't believe any affirmative action will be taken. It is important for supporters to have a voice - not just at AGM's, but through sessions like last Tuesday night and through contact with yourself. While you didn't exactly nail the brief - your efforts in instigating this should be applauded. I would strongly encourage you to leverage the expertise of the communications staff at the football club. Foremost, they are the professionals in this area. Secondly, anything communications related emanating from a board member, unless otherwise stated, is automatically perceived to have come from the clubs communications department. With the assistance of the staff at the football club - there should be no reason for you not to step in front of the camera again.
The open dialogue, engagement and transparency being promoted by board and staff alike should encourage more supporters (if done correctly), as we get closer to the football season.
There is a big difference in promoting transparency and it actually happening.
the club have had online discussions between supporters and key men such as our esteemed president and we arn't doing anything wrong according to him. Nothing different.
Seriously mate you can carry on with the smart lingo but the bottom line which is obvious to me there wont be significant change until
the Pratts and the Mathiesons dont have the power and we dont have puppet president Kernahan strung up by the strings these families pull.
I am hoping like yell that Fahour's presence has a major impact in bringing real change.
