crane6 is good for the money but like all of us can take the word of someone as being conclusive.
Pen to paper is the only proof in the pudding.

If Cloke is coming the story will be hard to suppress come Monday.

I think it is VERY dangerous to invest a huge % of the TPP in so few players.
Judd has proven to be pretty safe because he has played most games.
Cloke is durable, that's for sure so maybe we could count on most games from him as well.

But we thought Kouta was Superman.

I remain firmly planted in the Casboult/Mitchell/McArthy/Rowe camp. Surely one of those or maybe even two will prove worth developing and keeping happy.

Cloke is awesome on his day. He had one three games ago and that's my whole point.

If we get Cloke, the vitriol between these two great clubs will go to another level. I cannot wait for our next match. This will prove that this is the greatest rivalry in football. Bring it on.

They will not greet him kindly if he plays for us.

I agree one of them will eventually end up being quality but the club is convinced for us to win a flag it is next year or the year after.

I don't think any of the above will have developed to the level we need within that period.

Casbolt may well be some chance but Mitchell looks a few years away

I think Casboult looks the most likely and I think if he can lay 22 games next year he will be a monster. Mitchell proved in his one game he can mix it but we know he hasn't played much footy over a long time.
Rowe we just know nothing about yet and McArthy still hasn't convinced the coaching panel which end of the ground they should playi him. But as I said, one or maybe two would be worth the investment in time. If the commitytee thinks we have to win it in the next two years or else, we are in deep shite because Hawthorn will be hard to beat for a couple more years and clubs like Richmod, Freo, Adelaide and Sydney all have their windows open. I think Collingwood will drop off, especially of they lose Cloke. Dawes is no replacement.

Went out for dinner last night with a colonwood friend. Having a dig I pointed out that under our new coach Malthouse last year they made the GF this year under Buckley only the prelim.

He came back with they had a terrible year. Lost to Carlton twice !!!

Check through his posting history, he is typically spot on and he's a much respected source of info on BF.

Ling had agreed to come on as an assistant.
Then change his mid a week later.

Crane6 was not wrong with his call.

I also get the impression Crane 6 knows MM fairly well. He has apparently worked with him.

We all know he wants 5 years but what about upping his asking price but offering 3 years only?

Here's another thing to discuss (although not our problem), what sort of compensation should the Filth expect?

Same package as Geelong got for Ablett I think would be appropriate.

That's a tough one DS.
How about free counselling for all players, staff, and members after every Carlton game?

Filth will get a 1st rounder for him (provided they don't bring in any FAs, although they still might get a 1st).
This pick will come immediately after their 1st rounder in this years draft.

This is going to be an anti climax guys. Once Cloke re signs with Pies, I for one will breathe a sigh of relief.

It won't be what Gold Coast got for Ablett it will be less.
You also have to remember it is the net gain/loss that is looked at so if the Pies do lose Cloke then they will have some money to go after someone. It depends if they land someone and what his comparable worth is to Cloke.
