Cazz its all in the fun of the game.
With your sense of humour you should be sipping a latte behind a glass screen watching the demons getting thrashed every week.
Personally I would go for Watson. As one of the nice boys of the game he wouldn't know what was going on and it might actually throw him off.
My sense of humor goes with my glass half full attitude. I would rather point out to the opposition how well our players a traveling rather than denigrating theirs. When Juddy is tearing it up let them know. I would rather tell them that Walks took a great hanger rather than suggesting Carlisle makes a great step ladder.
Many, many years ago I remember watching a Reserves game at Visy (pre Preston merger) in which Doggy Brown was playing, having come back from injury. There were about about 20 people at the game and 2 opposition supporters (20-25yrd old) were on the wing seated below me. Right from the 1st bounce they were into Brown.
Abused him with words a sailor wouldn't consider. The 2 of them thought it was hilarious fun and they called him and his mum for everything under the sun. With so few around their voices carried all over the ground and every word could be heard clear as a bell.
Browny took it all and then when the siren went he wandered over to them and politely asked if they wanted to discuss his 'character, footballing abilities and family' on his side of the fence. The 2 of them acted like 2 years and almost cried, telling him they were just kidding and it was all meant in good nature. Browny walked off and when he was 100 metres away they 'manned up' and had another few words at him before running off like frighten children.
Yep........It's all in good fun until someone starts to cry. It's all in good nature until someone takes offense. And as often happens, one supporters fun and banter is anothers racial abuse.
That's my take.
