I would focus on stopping our supporters from abusing our own players. Gets worse every year and really pees me off.

Excellent point.

It's one thing to be frustrated with some players but some supporters really need to be spoken to.

Excellent point.

It's one thing to be frustrated with some players but some supporters really need to be belted.

Cazz its all in the fun of the game.

With your sense of humour you should be sipping a latte behind a glass screen watching the demons getting thrashed every week.

Personally I would go for Watson. As one of the nice boys of the game he wouldn't know what was going on and it might actually throw him off.

My sense of humor goes with my glass half full attitude. I would rather point out to the opposition how well our players a traveling rather than denigrating theirs. When Juddy is tearing it up let them know. I would rather tell them that Walks took a great hanger rather than suggesting Carlisle makes a great step ladder.

Many, many years ago I remember watching a Reserves game at Visy (pre Preston merger) in which Doggy Brown was playing, having come back from injury. There were about about 20 people at the game and 2 opposition supporters (20-25yrd old) were on the wing seated below me. Right from the 1st bounce they were into Brown. Abused him with words a sailor wouldn't consider. The 2 of them thought it was hilarious fun and they called him and his mum for everything under the sun. With so few around their voices carried all over the ground and every word could be heard clear as a bell.

Browny took it all and then when the siren went he wandered over to them and politely asked if they wanted to discuss his 'character, footballing abilities and family' on his side of the fence. The 2 of them acted like 2 years and almost cried, telling him they were just kidding and it was all meant in good nature. Browny walked off and when he was 100 metres away they 'manned up' and had another few words at him before running off like frighten children.

Yep........It's all in good fun until someone starts to cry. It's all in good nature until someone takes offense. And as often happens, one supporters fun and banter is anothers racial abuse.

That's my take.

The best way to get back at them is to hit them hard from the stsrt and on the board.

Be fair and hard and take the game away from them from the start.

Pressure them and get in their heads from the start especially Watson.

He's their engine, pressure him and his disposal faulters and so does their game.

If you kick away at the start then you have all game to get into their heads and them don't ease up.

Don't let the old man unmanned and ram Hepple.
Keep Crameri under the leash and the rest is apples.

We all know Essington supporters are going to boo Judd incessantly on Saturday.

Yes they will but I doubt they'll be the only ones. Due to a build-up of several unsavory if you like incidents, and the massive media overreaction to the chicken wing, I have a suspicion that Judd will be boo'd by every opposition team for the rest of his career... Diesel style

He probably won't care and we'll just have to learn to deal with it.

A big  at those that want to boo Lonergan... why? because he [REDACTED] up a tackle that incidentally hurt one of our players? He's a nothing player and not worth losing your voice over. IMO... there's not one Bummer player that I feel compelled to boo... I hate them all collectively.

The worst I saw was this year against NM. At 3/4 time Ratten was walking the boundary in front of us and virtually the entire section stood up and booed and yelled insults. I had my youngest (10) with me, wasn't a good look at all.

I'm not a fan of Ratten's coaching at all but there is never a reason for that crap.

I've got a 10yo too and I know what you mean.

When I want to pick up I leave the kid at home and take a chihuahua.

Works every time.

I just hope there is lots and lots of booing. It will mean Judd is getting lots of possessions.
