On Friday night it will by D day for Ratts, he knows the teams performance against Collingwood will help decide his fate. That is not an opinion that is the nature of the beast.
For a bloke who entered the club as a 14 year old through a scholarship and went on to be a 3 time B & F winner, 3 time all Australian, Club Captain, Club HOF and a Premiership player he knows what is required on Friday night.
I personally wish him the best, he wears his heart on his sleeve and only wants the best for the Carlton football club. Whether he is the man to take us forward or not i hope we can treat him with the respect he deserves. But until that point of no return lets back him in and ride the rest of this season out. The rest will be as they say Que Sera, Sera.
We need to treat our champions with respect and not cannibalize our own, Ratts is one of us, he bleeds for the club just like we do.
Ratts give us this one on Friday night, give it everything you have left. Either way you will always be one of the great blokes to be apart of the Carlton Football Club and will always be Blue family.
Last week hurt bad and their was alot of emotion but we all have been around football long enough to know the consequences of a poor result against our arch rivals who are chomping at the bit for revenge.
Give us this one on Friday night, you gave us hope and then took it away, Friday night is a big chance to give hope back!
Best post I have read on this site for a long time. Well done Benji.
