I think the point is that where we are this season is not where any of us expected to be.
This is very disappointing & can understand the emotions of some, even if they are getting slightly pointy in their criticisms.
What we need now are cool heads.
The team is not where we want it.
Is it the recruiting?
Is it the development?
Is it the coaching?
Is it the culture?
Is it the players attitudes?
Is it just injuries and bad luck?
Big responsibility for Sticks to sort it out - but also Swann.
Not sure any one move in isolation will fix everything.
Right now Shane Rogers, Cazzesman and the whole team have a massive opportunity to regroup, knuckle down, and find us some gems to bolster the list & get us competitive again.
I'm sure they are all working harder than ever to pull rabbits out of hats, and frankly to me it seems like a job that requires cool heads & dispassionate analysis so I'm glad that Caz & the team are not losing composure & focusing on the big picture.
Keep up the hard work

The Cazman’s response was not a cool head but a typical amateur’s defence. If he bothered to put his corrective glasses on he would see the he and his colleagues are competing against Professionals in a billion dollar industry.
If a poor performing employee told me to get over it there are poor people I would simply say to him as he was being escorted out the door to maybe use that perspective as he looks for another job!
Professionals take responsibility. When leaders do not take responsibility the organisation is doomed. It seems endemic at Carlton. The place is run by amateurs and unfortunately the Cazman appears to be a typical example.
Ratts does not take responsibility for the team’s performance. His press conferences and ‘letters’ are full of observations and stats but he never covers what he tried, what worked what did not work and where he needs to change. He does not get it. Four years of leading teams and he still does not get it. He has to go.
People cling to what Bomber did at Geelong. Regardless of how badly they went Bomber always took responsibility. Ratts does not. While Ratts says something like ‘they lost their mojo’, Bomber would say – ‘by my doing this or that I caused them to lose confidence or mojo’.
Sticks is an amateur running an unsuccessful club with many highly paid individuals who seem to have no accountability and from where I sit the Cazman’s comment is part of this. Unless change happens in the form of professionalism our organisation/club will forever be around the bottom living on handouts from donors and the league.
