I am sure even our marketing dept has that crowd signed up. The pies have a massive number of them types to target.
Just fuel up and drive out to South Morang train station 2 hours before a Collingwood game and see for yourself. They love it and buy that 'side by side' rubbish hook line a sinker. No other clubs fans would. Eddie should almost feel ashamed taking their cash. Football is set up for Collingwood in the 2000's. The next gen of working class have grown up into big time bogans with spare cash who love handing it over for a cap or a shirt to wear as they scoff their mcdonalds (because the M is on the shirt and cap) .
I guess that is why we have resorted to pokies. Make more taking money off Collingwood supporters than trying to talk sensible Carlton folk into giving money to a football club.

You seem to completely misunderstand marketing. And..... YOU'VE fallen hook, line, and sinker for the typical (probably Carlton-supporter-generated) view of Collingwood supporters. I have news for you. Collingwood has lawyers, doctors, authors, teachers, university lecturers, business people amongst its supporters. And Carlton has lots of bogans amongst its, including the charmers who were calling Krakouer a nigger and a jailbird last year.
It's all stereotyping. I laugh with the rest of them at the Collingwood supporter jokes, but when we're talking brass tacks, it's all crap. Football is set up for Collingwood in the 2000s because Collingwood SET ITSELF UP for football in the 2000s. Carlton set itself up for football in the 1980s and is paying the price.
Nigger is a terrible call. Jailbird............well he did kick the crap out of bloke laying on the ground. He did do time and he did run around the G after a goal making the cuff signal with his hands dedicating his goal to his time in jail while mocking his victim and us law abiding types.
Anyway, I know what a Collingwood supporter is. No hook line and sinker with me. They had the most fans from the start and it is a group of people who love footy and the tribal element more than anyone. This has been with them for generations. The current Collingwood admin worked out how best to tap into it but it could not have been too hard.
If i was on one of them Apprentice type shows and the task was to sell $5 notes for $10 bucks and i had a choice between Carlton or Collingwood fans to target i know where i would be putting my energy. Side by side.
The numbers mean nothing when comparing collingwood to other clubs. Id hate to be apart of that tribe apart from their team winning games at the moment.
