Agree but honestly can't think of anyone naive enough to have their concerns addressed by our friend. Is anyone being truly fooled?

This constant banter is killing my attention span too btw, focusing on revision is nigh on impossible with these threads turning into troll wars. Addictive low quality entertainment.

state of the forum - anyone that disagrees with the groupies then you're a troll.
I figure that's how you debate in real life - why are you disagreeing with me, are you a troll?

Talking about paranoia. Yeah I ignore plenty in here, as I am sure plenty ignore me. I choose the conversations I want to engage in. When board sacking come about I only deal with facts. I bring logic to your delusions as signified in your post.

Not with me, but dragging the club through the mud for no reason whatsooever - it seems it is stemming from an injury riddled season . Disagree with me as much as you like - of little concern..but the club is a whole other story.

You obviously haven't visited the Carlton facebook page...

I am sure even our marketing dept has that crowd signed up. The pies have a massive number of them types to target.
Just fuel up and drive out to South Morang train station 2 hours before a Collingwood game and see for yourself. They love it and buy that 'side by side' rubbish hook line a sinker. No other clubs fans would. Eddie should almost feel ashamed taking their cash. Football is set up for Collingwood in the 2000's. The next gen of working class have grown up into big time bogans with spare cash who love handing it over for a cap or a shirt to wear as they scoff their mcdonalds (because the M is on the shirt and cap) .

I guess that is why we have resorted to pokies. Make more taking money off Collingwood supporters than trying to talk sensible Carlton folk into giving money to a football club.

Are you suggesting Mr. Scarponi is an idiot? Only before he speaks does an idiot think he has something important to say (also thanks to Groucho).

You seem to completely misunderstand marketing. And..... YOU'VE fallen hook, line, and sinker for the typical (probably Carlton-supporter-generated) view of Collingwood supporters. I have news for you. Collingwood has lawyers, doctors, authors, teachers, university lecturers, business people amongst its supporters. And Carlton has lots of bogans amongst its, including the charmers who were calling Krakouer a nigger and a jailbird last year.

It's all stereotyping. I laugh with the rest of them at the Collingwood supporter jokes, but when we're talking brass tacks, it's all crap. Football is set up for Collingwood in the 2000s because Collingwood SET ITSELF UP for football in the 2000s. Carlton set itself up for football in the 1980s and is paying the price.

Nigger is a terrible call. Jailbird............well he did kick the crap out of bloke laying on the ground. He did do time and he did run around the G after a goal making the cuff signal with his hands dedicating his goal to his time in jail while mocking his victim and us law abiding types.

Anyway, I know what a Collingwood supporter is. No hook line and sinker with me. They had the most fans from the start and it is a group of people who love footy and the tribal element more than anyone. This has been with them for generations. The current Collingwood admin worked out how best to tap into it but it could not have been too hard.

If i was on one of them Apprentice type shows and the task was to sell $5 notes for $10 bucks and i had a choice between Carlton or Collingwood fans to target i know where i would be putting my energy. Side by side.

The numbers mean nothing when comparing collingwood to other clubs. Id hate to be apart of that tribe apart from their team winning games at the moment.

Why write three lines telling us about Krakouer's assault when that wasn't the point? We all know about that. The point, which can get lost in your three line tangent, is that Carlton has nuff nuffs as well. Every club does. I sit at the footy, and Carlton supporters yell out "ball" one nano-second after the opposition player gets tackled, just like the nuff nuffs from other teams.

Bottom line is: we don't have members and money and sponsors because we don't have good professionals causing it, NOT because we have a better class of supporter.....

I'm not convinced Sticks has given us Carlton utopia.
I'm proud of how we got off our knees and pushing for a flag.
I hate where we're at though.
I hate the fact we have supporters who wont put a ticket against the current regime in fear of ridicule.

I think Sticks should leave the door ajar for a an alternate ticket to show their vision.
If there was a great alternative, it can only happen if Sticks made it happen.
He can't be interim President forever...like McAlister did at the old wooden spoon Collingwood.

I love Sticks the player and Carltonian.
I love Sticks to plot an perfect exit plan. We need it.
We have to all be inspired together.
At the moment we clearly are not.

Bottom line is someone on our Board of Directors asking these questions - I'm guessing not and I'm pretty damn sure our President isn't asking either.

Moshe - Whilst you point out this monkey's inability to use the quote function, feel free not to use it yourself when quoting him.

Winning more often than not is the best marketing tool you can have
Souths Fitzroy North Doggies all struggle to grow their memberships because they struggle on field and the team that every one strives to be like collingwood in their history play in a Grand final every 2.8 years
Doggies every 60 years
Why does one have 70000 members and one struggles to attract 25000

You dont have to be to smart to work that out
People like winners are recent history is losing . Start to win more and they will come
