No Kouta, it is about effort and pride for the jumper. We have not played this poorly since 2008.

This year was meant to be the year we were going to finish top 4 and lose 2-4 games max for the season.

We are now the laughing stock of the AFL and the premiership window has well and truly been shut for another decade.

Richardson, Williams, Riley, Brown, barker, capuano, Harris, webster and Ratten.
9 coaches and barely a player going forward, ......taking the pi55.

All those coaches and the man sitting next to Ratten in the box with the head set on and doing all the talking is Andy Mackay

anyone know what McKay is doing in the box?
it is unusual to say the least and it is not like he is a silent observer, the glimses I have seen has him in conversation quiet often.
how do I interpret his presence? does he not trust the paid professionals enough to let them do their job?

A couple of questions for anyone who has 'inside knowledge'.

What is the board's stance on our current position?

Will the club be taking any sort of decisive action (whether publically announced or otherwise) in the shorter term?

It is my hope that the decision makers are taking a good hard look at our current issues. One would even hope this has already been done. They need to fully understand what the cause or causes are and take appropriate action to rectify.

It is my fear that it will just be put down to 'injuries' and our myriad of current issues will not be fully addressed.

I would also hope the player group have called their own emergency meeting and 'had it out' and aired some home truths to each other. Again you would hope this would of already happened. They need to look each other in the eye, declare they truly want to achieve meaningful success and then go about doing whatever it takes. We will not win many games against any opposition if we continue to play with little to no intensity, fight, ticker, enthusiasm and discipline. This is a mindset issue and the players themselves can address this immediately......if they want to.

As poor as we've been recently, the reality is there is still opportunity to turn it around. Are we prepared and capable to do what's required however? Recent evidence suggests not.

Let's see. Ratten's taken us from nothing but our greatest ever rabble to the point of actually playing for top spot a few weeks ago, even if we did stuff it up, we have huge injuries in our most important structural spots, not to mention alot of injuries to any replacements, a few out of form, not to mention important blokes, who are actually playing, that missed much of the pre-season. Not the first side to have a bad patch and eventually come out of it, as we did in 2010, and won't be the last (as Worsfold would testify too). We achieved targets each year thus far and due to circumstances this might be the first we don't. Don't think an emergency Richmond board meeting (sh1t forgot, it's Carlton) is going to happen somehow. Wouldn't be one coach that wouldn't be cut some slack from that. If it was it'd be the knee-jerk reaction that happened to Dean Bailey last year after that Geelong debacle. Fat lot of good that did. After a couple of heavy losses there's so many mindless moronic posts from people that simply have no ability to think or analyse a situation "under pressure". Makes them basically weaker mentally than the people they criticise in the p1ss weak way they handle losses.

I do accept we have fight alot harder than we have. A couple of those recent games were so goddamn weak. Similar to that patch in 2010 but we turned it around. What to last year efforts when we fought tooth and nail every game no matter the circumstances. Never thrashed. This year is a step back in that area but when you play "dead" for years as we did under Pagan, then when we tanked sometimes it's too easy to slip back into that mindset making for a culture that is far from perfect.

Yes 1 win in a final in his 110 games.

3 number 1 picks and C Judd.

I have a mate whose missus works at the dry cleaner where Juddy gets little Oscar's nappies cleaned.

He reckons that Swanny has been reading TC threads, and had no idea the situation was so bad.
He is shocked & horrified.

Apparently he called Synbad straight away and told Synners that it's all Andy McKay's fault.

However another rumour on BigFooty states that McKay called Keogh & swore that Ratts, Swanny & Wayne Hughes are all in cahoots & trying to sabotage the club to clear off Fev's gambling debts - they are doing this at Pratty's request.

So not only will there be an emergency board meeting soon, but also the Victorian police are conducting a wide-ranging investigation into this debacle.

Unfortunately Jeannie Pratt has no idea what's going on (yet), but rest assured she will know what to do. She is just not just some nuff nuff with weird hair.

Keep up the good work everyone with your hard hitting threads.
The truth hurts, & the board members do take a good long read of what is said here.

Article in The Age.

http://www.watoday.com.au/afl/afl-news/makeorbreak-month-for-ratten-20120603-1zq5a.html

First bit of press I've seen questioning Ratts' coaching. It basically says the next month will tell us what we need to know about CFC and Ratts as a coach.
