We need to be bold right now, get a genuine midfielder in Dangerfield for Gibbs.
He's Victorian bound, Adelaide will get a hard on at the very mention of Gibbs.
We may get lucky, and Adelaide give us their second rounder for our third......
This post just sums up why opposition supporters resent your club and why you have the problems you have now.
First - you're so arrogant that you actually think Gibbs is better than Dangerfield.
Second - you're always after the quick fix. Quick - lets buy this player in - he'll be the saviour.
Well it hasn't worked with Judd and it won't happen with Dangerfield.
This sort of attitude tears at the heart of the club.
I actually think Judd has been your downfall - great player but the over reliance on him has thwarted the development of your younger players.
Try growing your own players for a change and putting some development into a 'team' philosophy - then you might play for each other instead of trying to benefit from each other.
Why don't you go #%* yourself you Essendon* troll. Pretty soon another team will wipe the smug smile off your face, and though it probably won't be us for another thousand years, I hope it's the Hawks, because they hate you even more than we do. How dare you come over here and kick us while we are down. Do we, the supporters choose the team or management? Do you you choose your teams? well,do ya punk??
I bid you goodnite, you stupid troll.
get thee hence.
kind regards,
bg72.
How is that trolling?
If I was trolling, I would have pretended to be a Blues supporter and subtly caused tension.
I came over to TC to see just how much of an impact this loss has had on the supporters and I read that post and it actually made me frustrated with where your team is at and why.
There's nothing better then when the Pies, Blues, Tiges and Bombers are flying all at once - it makes the G an amazing place.
But this mentality of importing stars to get rich quick is pretty shallow.
Nothing is as good as watching your own home grown players develop into premiership heroes - so all I can say is look in your own backyard and try and develop what you've got first before you go nuts trying to trade in players to use as bandaids e.g., Jacobs instead of Warnock, Grigg instead of McLean etc..
