Don't like the selections at all. After last week a statement needed to be made and the MC backed down again.

I was at the game and Russell, Joseph and Duigan weren't just bad they were woeful and as much as I like the way Bower takes on the game his disposal is a major issue.

What do they say about "Insanity"?

Can't chop and change all the time - the players selected are basically the best we got

Recruiting strategists should take a bow.

I agree our midfield depth is an issue, and will be a huge problem if we get a couple mids injured.
At present we have only Carrazzo missing from the seniors and the mids we have in reserve (depth?) are Joseph, McLean, the improving Lucas and a kid called Buckley (who is years away).

Right now, with so many injured talls, Laidler, Waite, Warnock, Casboult, White and Davies, we only have the undeveloped Watson and McCarthy to bring in if there's further injury to the big fellas.

Yep, the cupboards are bare, and we are relying on lady luck (with injuries) to get us through the year.
It is bloody obvious we've gotta do something about that, but that's next year.

Just watched the preseason game Adel vs Carlton, and they Crows are a good team. They had their best on field and I reckon it's our midfield where our strength lies. I know that game was months ago but the Crows game plan and personnel haven't changed much since then, whereas we will go into this game with the addition of Jamison, Duigan, Judd, Walker and Robinson, who replace Joseph, Bootsma, Lucas, Carrazzo, Casboult, and Buckley from that game (2 subs in that game).

If TBird can kick straight (he hit the post a coupla times) he should prove a headache for the Crows.

I would suggest that we should watch Bernie Vince, he usually cuts us up

Dont agree with that at all. When have we chopped and changed? There are a few in the side that have no positive impact at all and how do we know there the best until we give others a go?

I personally would prefer Collins, Bootsma, Buckley, Watson, McCarthy, Lucas or Dale over Russell, Armfield and Bower. At least that will give us a bit of a different look and add some excitement to the side.

I wouldn't do it all at once but there was a real opportunity to bring at least one in this week.

Wow there's a lot of negativity here. Look we played absolutely poorly on Monday night, and our last month has been ordinary, but we can turn it all around this Sunday, sit 6-2 with Melbourne and Port Adelaide following (Not even us getting ahead of ourselves will stop us winning these two games) so a big chance to go 8-2. No Taylor Walker is a massive, massive loss and far outweighs Waite's injury.

Blues by 24 in a tight contest

Went to the AFL website (the same AFL that doesn't like clubs owning pokies) and they have sportsbet odds listed loud and proud. Crows at $2.85.

The bookies must know something we don't. Are these odds based purely on Adelaide's travel record? 'Cos we've looked rubbish for a month.

I'm glad I don't bet. I'd probably chuck a couple of hundred on the crows, only to have us pull out our usual 'win when we should lose, after losing when we should've won' kinda game tomorrow.

Duigan and Joseph couldn't defend, so they were woeful. Russell didn't have a positive impact, but neither did his opponent. Armfield and Russell kept Dal Santo and Goddard quiet by their standards. People will only remember the bad bounce with Saad on Russell's hammer. Rusty missed two sitters and the chance to hurt Goddard and the Saints. Crazy to suggest that we drop a big body and bring in rakes such as Collins, Bootsma or Dale to take on the Crows. It's a winnable game. As nuts and as reactionary as Pies supporters talking about 2012 being a development year after we beat them. They'll be ahead of us if we lose to Adelaide.

Watching the reserves Buckley, Watson, Lucas & Bootsma are all showing they would be worth giving a go.

I have been saying for awhile now that we havent recruited or drafted very well over the past few years. We simply dont have a good group of young kids coming through, some of the KPP we drafted in 2010 still need to time but there is not alot to get excited about. Having said that it is good seeing Buckley play well in the VFL today.

Can't agree. Opportunity seems too be the issue for me.

I really have high hopes for Buckley, Bootsma, Dale, Lucas as running players.

Add to that talls in Watson, Mitchell, Casboult & McCarthy who all just need some continuity to show their talents.

We just need to clear out some dead wood.

I have heard that Robinson is out for tomorrow's game.

Collins who was held back from playing today will replace him.
