The gut will sting tonight and they will learn some lessons.
Sometimes you trip up when you climb a mountain.
Isn't that what the Essendon* loss was supposed to do? We've been shitful ever since, they didn't learn a thing. We're lucky we've got 2 wins from 4 shithouse games. Ive always been very positive and patient but for the first time in years I'm worried about where we're going. Our top draft picks are all hitting peak age and experience. Judd is still at his peak but it can't last forever. It's hard to see how the list is going to get much better before it gets worse tbh. Not a lot of young ones coming through at the moment is there?
I never react like this. I've been patient for years because we've been improving consistently. But this year we needed to take the next step. It's not good enough to come 5th again. I let the Essendon* game go as an off day to learn from. But we haven't. We look like we've gone backwards from last year.
Seriously disillusioned right now. Holding on to the fact that the team that played so well against collingwood was only a month a ago. Feels like a lifetime ago
At the minute it looks like the Pies game was a false dawn. We looked to have improved on last year, and our pressure was relentless that day. We didn't appear to have a weakness. Sheesh its gone pear shaped in a hurry !!
Doesn't help us that we can't get any of the KPPs we drafted on the park......Watson (no good), McCarthy, Mitchell, Levi (inj and no good). We're crying out for a genuine talented KPP to step up, but sadly that looks light years away. For now we have to rely on the erratic Waite, Hammer who's still learning but showing som ething, T-Bird who's a stop gap fwd, and Kreuz for a cameo.
