I see we are now Round 1 Richmond and they are Round 1 us... From media perspective. Ok, we have to be able to handle the pressure that improvement and higher expectations bring. Bring it on!
The keys for us: Concentration, attacking and defensive intensity, good disposal (esp goal kicking) across all lines for four quarters.... = Carlton win.
1. Mids: They currently don't have any taggers in the team. Perhaps they bring in Johnson and wellingham to try keep Judd and Murphy in check... On our side, we use our greater midfield depth to keep the pressure on the whole time. Put carrazzo and/or Robinson on pendlebury.
2. Ruck: Use Kruezer and Hampson to run Jolly ragged. We should win this battle comfortably, given Kruezer's work rate. Important that Hampson continues to work hard.
3. Defense: Jamo/Hendo/Bower man up tightly on Cloke/Dawes with others dropping back to help out. Cloke is strong but we know, like us and Fev, where they're going to kick it most of the time. Gibbs and Yarran to run it out and distribute, and also to pop up in the forward line to kick the occasional goal. They will probably try a defensive forward on one of them... Doubt that can hold both of them and we should use the one they do tag to create the set up we want. If Gibbs goes forward (see below), use Bower/laidler to run it out.
4. Forwards: Kick long to hammer, hit Waite/betts on a lead and kick over the top to Jeffa/betts. Defensive forward on shaw (Remember they swung Gibbs forward last qtr against bris

) I would have Gibbs on Shaw, Robinson on Harry, stop his annoying gallops out of the backline!
We will learn a lot more about where we are at and where the Pies are at....
