Ok wait.. forget about win loss.
What can we take out of the 4 games we played in so far.????

That for us to make top 4 we need to have a very good run with injuries, but hey I pretty much knew that anyway.

You have a point...

Different strategies/gameplan = No
Effective big forward (Hammer/Reid/Casboult) = No

Looks like we've used these games just to get some fitness into the group.

Let's hope we can flick that magical switch by round 1 though...

Well Synners,

I'd say, Dermie works a lot better if you put the sound on mute.

Losers mentality!!!

The team were hoping will be playing in the top 4 this year....

and no club has all its players in.. but they do show something...

Yeah cos the winning mentality we got from 2005 and 2007 took us real far in the season proper lol...

Win/Loss? Give me a break.

So if we played one extra gun last week, or Casboult nailed that goal, or we pushed players back to win, or played a stronger squad against Port then against Adelaide, or T-Bird had kicked that goal at AAMI that put us 10 points up etc we'd be '3-1' and suddenly things would be a whole lot different?

Apparently.

Jarrad Waite has also played a full game. Has had limited opportunities but has looked fresh and lively when the ball has entered 50.

Seriously get over it Synbad. You recycle the same crap every year.

I know....Really, love the panic....."ohhh no...we're losing our NAB Cup games, the world is ending".

Actually we lost all of our first 3 NAB Cup games in the last 90 seconds of each game, two of them in Adelaide. Think that's showing enough. Only had to give a sh1t 2% more and we'd have won all there. Really doesn't matter. What would we have got for winning?

I've figured it out. This is Ratts and the Club's way of lowering expectations

Synbad you need to relax a little, its only a preseason match. I can understand if it was the real deal but is a pracy match in Maroochydore.

Juddy running out the game. Has looked rusty at times, but moving well and hasn't shirked any contests. #IAMCARLTON

I mean a half you dont score at all.
Whats that do for your preparation for the season?
Whats it say about players fight?
Or about anything at all....

Thats what you have to look at.
There will be more West Coasts this year.
Teams bouncing up the ladder.

Every prep game must have victories within and not so much on the scoreboard.

Surely people cant say im not worried when we squander whole games and quarters of preparation with a bermuda triangle.!!!

Were not that flower good nothing matters!!!! :screwy:

Maybe Brisbane, Adelaide and Port are this years West Coast :-)

We've got game time into Bower for the first time in nearly two seasons.

Seen more of Collins, and whether or not he can take Walker's role if we move him into the midfield.

Trialled Hampson up forward, with different set plays...we've tried him as a lead out forward and as a decoy forward.

Got a better look at Curnow and McLean, seems we have a real decision on our hands there for round one.

Unearthed a real player in Frazer Dale.

Gave Casboult and Rowe a go to see if they can play a role with Warnock out early on.

Given Lucas the game time he perhaps should have got last year.

So far so good re the return of Walker, Judd, Duigan, Waite after interrupted pre-seasons.

Been mindful of the workload on Murphy, Gibbs, Scotland, Simpson, Kreuzer. Taken a careful approach with Jamison and Robinson.

I could go on....but clearly you're incapable of being proven wrong on anything, ever. Compare this to last year when Jamison got rubbed out a week before the Tigers game and we were completely unprepared for who would take Riewoldt, no solid back up plan - White, Watson, Thornton, Bower, etc.....nearly won the game off his own boot for them.

Quite happy with what's happened so far. Laidler is a massive blow, but you can't prepare for that whatsoever.

Davies has been impressive off half-back. Has backed himself a number of times and used the ball well. #IAMCARLTON

noone loves this dane and whatever other banana thinks we(those concerned) do.

what we will love is a flag..... !!!

the rest means we fail!!!

Sure we might win a flag this year after showing nothing all pre season... but there are always signs .. little things that are warnings

Lets see what it all means in the washup.

One thing is for sure.. were not as good as we think we are!!!

Practice game anywhere x 4 needs to nett something positive BB... to think otherwise means were taking the piss with where we think were at.

Last year Hawthorn with a stack of injuries and previous seasons wooden spooners WC went past us ,,,,,

This year will be who else???
