With not many changes possible (we are almost at full strength)
White lost to Injury and Touhy not really up to it (winning by 103 points and few disposals at least Russell got a goal). You end up with Duigan and Bower (rested in last 1/4 of reserves) in.
Eventually Jamo comes back in for Thornton (Very unlucky, but still makes wrong decisions), but don't be suprised if Thornton goes forward and Henderson back again this week (Keeps opposition wondering). Ellards work has been brilliant and he will hold Curnow, Joseph, McLean and Armfield out as he can mark and kick a goal. Houlihan has found a role, few players can do what he does when he comes on, going to half-back, wing, onball or half-forward, tall or small. Only worries are form from Yarran, Simpson, Russell, Henderson, Garlett, Betts, Waite, Walker and Warnock - level of intensity from best to worst is still far too great. This was one reason we lost to WCE.
To date technical errors lost Essendon* and Geelong games. Collingwood we lost due to 10 minute drop off in intensity, WCE beat us because middle tier players (listed above) all had off days, also outs didnt help.
Our team for the dogs. It is our setups that they should be worried about. I would focus on Cooney, Griffin, Hall, Murphy and Gia, but they must be made to play on us.
