Here's a question. Is Kreuzer captain material when Judd goes? You'd have to say there are only four potential candidates:

Murphy
Gibbs
Jamieson (how old will he be?)
Kreuzer

Can't believe you've left out Robbo.........imagine that maniac as captain! :smoking:

As much as I love the big K somehow I doubt old 'Humphrey' (the unspoken one) will ever be much of a communicator, don't know how you could go past Murph as next captain really, however I would think if Jamo continues to improve and hold the form for the years to come he will definitely come into contention. Judd for next 3 at least IMO anyway

Kreuzer and the Club used the down time very effectively. He's a colossus and looks so big and strong. His skills when the ball hits the deck are so, dare I say it, special, and he has slotted seamlessly back into the team. There is no one like him in the game at the moment.

Is this a Sam Newman type issue OR Is this why you want to trade in the wife?

Interesting to hear Sheed's saying we'd missed our opportunity to trade Kreuz through the mini draft & score a potential superstar in the process (O'Meara &/or Martin) along with some other Melbourne clubs, being Collingwood (Thomas) & Essendon* (Carlisle).
Would have been hard to sell if MK could have left as a free agent (loyally stuck with the Blues but a hefty contract by the title) effectively under their start up trading rules but this could have been a good move, especially if we could have also switched on a one of their 1st round draft picks as well.

..Sheeds is talkin' crapola, they targeted him as a 'expansion free-agent' type scenario.. ..not as a trade target.. ..they did offer him a long-term big money contract, when he was undergoing rehab for his knee.. ..they were hoping to get him when he fell out of contract, it was never a trade talk..

..their mini-draft kids were held onto and used to get high draft picks in return, this strategy of theirs was talked up by them at the time, and the AFL was criticised for leaving the opportunity for them to use this pathway..

..now they're struggling, their senior players aren't much chop, and the PR machine is in swing trying to blame the other clubs for them only having kids.. ..and honestly speaking, Daisy is mid-range in his career, but Krooz and Carlisle are still in their first part of their careers, and so even this BS arguement of theirs, is still mentioning young up and coming players.. ..there's no truely experienced bunch of leaders to help them out in his list of names..

Yep.

This is Sheeds being too clever.

AFL should have insisted he got moved on in favour of Chocco last year.

There's nothing stopping GWS doing all manner of trading.

The sooner this lying piece of Sh1t is out of the game the better.

Silvagni done a number on them.

$1M per year for Scully...

That's worse than the 3 year Waite deal we all carry on about.

We had Judd for around $1M a year.

Cloke would have been about $1M a year.

Scully?

They stuffed up.
