Tell us what you think they are prelim.

The problems i see is when we lose momentum and teams press up on us we get static. We hold on to the ball for a split second longer than we do when we have momentum. Players like Bower and Russell seem to be the players aware of this and you can see they try (not always successfully) to get things moving.

We seem to lose form and gain form from ten minutes to ten minutes.

We dont score as much as competative teams when we have momentum due mainly to little mistakes more often than not made by players with only a few games next to their names.

Last night being a man down cost us. Not just in numbers either. I have not been a big fan of Carrazzo over the years but he does play a role and last night we got a taste of what it would be like with him out of the team.

We need to keep persisting. Keep getting games into the youngsters and keep training the mistakes out of their games.

These are my pros and cons.

Pros

Effort
Ellard is the small defender we need
Improvement of Hendo, Garlett & Warnock in a big game

Cons

As was last year our bottom six let us down. We really rely on too few.
Questions over Betts when needed
Form of key defensive positions a worry coming into finals

- WHY DO WE TRY TO MARK ON OUR CHEST WITH A PLAYER ON OUR TAIL??? FFS STRETCH OUT THE ARMS AND TAKE IT CLEAR IN FRONT!!!!

This is a major problem, too many players does this. I wish Ratten can address this.

Eddie Betts

Fair dinkum, when was the last time he turned it on in a big important must win game ?
Even when he gets posession 35 metres out he is all waving his hands and confuses
the hell out of me so im buggered if i know what his team mates are thinking !!

He is our version of Leon Davis.
Which is bloody disappoining to say the least !!!

x2 - goes missing big time.
Kicks most of his goals against the poor teams, even then, they are in junk time when the physical pressure and intensity goes out of the game. The fact is he is very poor against a physically pressing team. Even when he gets it he poops himself and is possibly the worst kick of goal in the team. Here's a thought, stop trying to kick em from the boundary with your mates all training and fix your normal goalkicking!!! He is so frustrating.

....Thought Garlett played great tho - is about to overtake eddie and leave him in the dust.

1. Judd with no protection from team mates....STILL NOT ADDRESSED
2. Kick ins woeful.....STILL NOT ADDRESSED
3. Kicking to vacant forward line filled with defenders....STILL NOT ADDRESSED
4. Stagnant players all around the ground, little evidence of gut running....STILL NOT ADDRESSED
5. Opposition going through corridor like a knife through soft butter...STILL NOT ADDRESSED
6. Kicking/handballing to statues or to players with an opponent up their tijuana...STILL NOT ADDRESSED
7. Shepherding and blocking for each other....STILL NOT ADDRESSED
8. Too many players getting dragged up the ground, exposing us fwd and bck. The goal posts are not b/w the arcs, they're at either end of the ground. This is a game structure flaw....STILL NOT ADDRESSED

Yes its excitng times at Carlton at the moment.....apparently, we got within a goal of a shit side after being 5 goals down and after being crucified by the umps. We've set that bar so high its lost in the clouds. Anyway, amuse yourselves with a litany of excuses. Facts are, we have won 4 of our last 11, and will likely have won 4 of our last 12. Yeah things are looking up
