Don't think I have been ejected from a venue actually & if I was a footballer trying to break back into the seniors going out till all hours would be the last thing on my to do list.
you've never had a few too many in your younger days??
So if the kid were a cemented senior player it would be ok with you?
Weak excuse diesel_85, I agree with kingkerna, I've had plenty of fun going out drinking for many years in bars all over the world, but I've never been thrown out of a bar. He's just mentally weak right now. I'm not saying we should get rid of him straight away, some people do learn from their mistakes and he needs to be given that chance, but as with Fevola if he can't take control of his personal life and responsibility for his actions then he has no future at Carlton, and Brisbane can have him too.
It also makes no difference whether he is a cemented senior player or a first year rookie, it's not ok.
Sorry guys, but i'm with diesel on this one. You would be surprised how easy it is to be kicked out of a venue these days. I've been working part time at a venue for two years in south yarra while doing my degree and patrons can be removed for something as basic as dropping a glass (they don't even have to be intoxicated). What's more it doesn't help in this new weak culture where going out at night is deemed to be irresponsible if you are an athlete. Mitch is about 20 years old and wants to have some fun while he can. Its not like Michael Hurley assaulting a cab driver.
And by the way, don't be silly and compare AFL players (especially younger ones) to olympic athletes 17th prem. It is a ridiculous comparison.
