Dean for Young the only change

Not surprising, really... Acres deserves to be in, but that's the problem when you drop an in-form veteran for a young player, the next week you have to decide whether to drop the youngster after one game or keep freezing out the veteran. Dare I say, selection integrity?

Maybe Acres isn’t 100%.
I guess we will find out on Sunday.
He’s not even named as an Emergency.
Maybe they feel Hollands is who they back in of the two.
A bit like Ison and Moir.

What the hell is this head tap rule. How soft this game has become!! Love to lose a final because of a silly head tap. What the?

Just another rule they made up mid season. Someone (surprisingly not a Carlton player) ruffled an opponent's head, and someone decided ooooh, that's a bit condescending, or Well ACKtually in Thailand that would be deeply offensive, and voila, another new law.

It’s good that Wizard is out but TBH I would almost have preferred him in rather than Impey…

The grassroots lost its ability to keep the shithousery in check, so think of it as a ‘trickle up’ measure. The kids were getting punished for emulating their heroes.

What they should’ve done is introduce a no-consequence rule where, if you taunt someone, they can punch you in the face without repercussions. And, if you retaliate, you’ll be the one facing sanction.

The scales must be balanced.

I think the fine print says “unless it’s against a Carlton player…”.
I’m pretty sure a Richmond player head-tapped a Carlton player in front of their goal (maybe against Walsh) and I remember seeing Newman tell the umpire who did nothing.

As a side note, they should call it the Leigh Matthew’s rule. - he said once that it was the worst thing you could do to him.

Yep. We are the only team that just doesn’t receive free kicks that are there.

Shocked Newman didn't get penalised for dissent.

Hollands probably deserves a second chance coming back. Cottrell though can kick goals and we will need every one.

I'm leaning this way this morning. Cottrell or Hollands? Drop Cotters. Hollands provides run and more pressure on the contest.
Williams doesn't look 100% fit to me.

nobody in the team runs as much or as fast as Cottrell. even Ollie most games iirc. but neither overly impress arm.

Ollie Hollands ran 600 metres less than the AFL record last week. More than Cottrell has run at his peak.

Ollie applied 50 one percenters, Cottrell 32.
Ollie 93% Game Time. Cottrell 71.
Ollie 4 Tackles Cottrell 0

Deano's mail was right !!!!!!!!!

Huge challenge for Riley

This will be an amazing watch, to see what this kid has got, especially at CB, and against a bonafide good AFL ruckman who held his own last week against Gawn.

Hopefully Riley nullifies 203cm Meek at CB. That's all.

On a wet night, I expect Harry to do more ruckwork than 30% he did last week.

Reckon I’d rather see him get hold of the three-gamer they’ve pencilled in at CHB. Then again, it’s not like he dined out on the Tigers’ VFL defenders.

Just for the next fortnight, do you reckon we could get $1m worth of footy from him?

Big change.
Losing a big body in the wet might be costly.

Congrats to Flynn, first game.

Been a fan of Flynn and very happy we drafted. Go well young man and leap to your hearts content. See if you can clunk a few as well.
