Ok I'll say it.
Acres out Hollands in.
Acres runs hard, but Ollie runs harder.
And in Ollies last game he was hitting those harder targets going forwards.
I'd like to see more of that.

I see it but I don't believe it.
I agree Ollie runs harder, but you've got to look at all the two bring to the game to make a fair summary.
To channel my inner sidex: Acres is stronger in the tackle, stringer tackler, better mark, better shepherd.
You know I love Ollie and have even said he could be a future AA wingman.
Can you find a way to bring Ollie in and retain the role Cerra and Acres are playing on their wings? Its a winning combo.

Ison out Williams in.
Derksen out Weitering in.
Derksen had a great game and did some really nice intercepts but he looked slow, slower than Weitering.
And that is saying something.
Agree. Agree.

Bondi, Cripps and Hewett are still slow.
Cripps put himself in a few positions in that game that could've easily gone the other way.
His slow pace and at times slow decision making nearly got the better of him several times.
If you feel so strongly about that, why don't you drop Cripps? Ditto Hewett?
You don't agree Cripps and Hewett have been in our best, since Hewett returned vs Bulldogs?
Interesting how that coincides with our winning streak.
I didn't say Cripps and Hewett were fast. Running hard from defense in 3's and 4's and taking risks is making our midfield group faster.
Its Smith and Walsh who have the speed, and in combo with HHF Hayward and Cottrell pushing up to give links.
Its about the how the whole functions, not individuals thats making us better. That's all I'm saying.

I actually thought that game for the first time I could see him getting slower, especially as we increased our transition speed.
IMO we still need more midfield speed and yes, Walker will be a great addition but I'd still like a mature quick midfield/forward added in the off season.
To replace Cripps?

Our problem still hasn't changed, it just hasn't looked as obvious.
Do you really believe Walker, or Humphrey (eg of your mid/ fwd) is going to push Cripps off the mantle as No 1 contested bull?
I think there's room to add Walker to the mix, and I'd love the cheery on top with a Mid/Fwd like Humphrey, but I hope its Sam Marshall. Plenty of room for them, because I suspect, Williams wont be around in 2026 (or depth), and Ison will have to make way for that new mid Fwd, if Cottrell stays healthy.
If its not broken....just add value. IMO, based on what I'm seeing in the now, Form will create Function.

We won by 23 points, should have won by 60 at GWS home ground, with Umpires giving them the rub of the green. Not bad.
