The Carlton shop is currently running a 40% end of season clearance. But, it's also a way for them to clear their Nike stocks before Puma starts up with their new 10-year deal. Hopefully they're able to make better stuff than Nike. Seriously, Carlton merch should pretty much design itself, but that doesn't seem to be the case, haha.

I’m in the minority it seems but as a diehard Jordan fan, sneaker head and strictly loyal to Nike/Jordan, our long term association with Nike has suited me perfectly.

Disappointed on a personal level. But whatever is best for the club.

It's interesting that we're the only club left with Nike gear. I guess they're not seeing value in the AFL market anymore?

Nike products are the definition of trash.

Thank goodness that is over with.

Not sure but was more than happy to pick up a 2019 guernsey from the Carlton Shop online to finish off the Nike dynasty for $32 + $10 postage

The prices, good lord.

$80 for a youth polo or a training singlet. Frightening.

Just spent some time in the states, visited a few stadium shops and a forgettable number of factory outlets. The quality and range of apparel over there, even for their college teams, is just fantastic. Different market I know.

Yeah, I know, certainly not revolutionary (yet) in terms of design. Although it doesn't need to be, it's been awesome the way the club has re-embraced the old style CFC mongram, yet on the merch it has been dreadfully underutilised.

It should be so simple!

Oh, and because a fool and his money and all that, I bought a media polo. Hopefully it's okay. The last decent ones we had were from 2013/14 or thereabouts. :banghead:

Because the upper middle-class is back at Carlton. If there's a wait list for an 11-game membership that costs $925, then it stands to reason that the merchandise will cater to that sort of disposable income.

I kind of agree with your summation.

The period 2002-2018 I was starting to think we would be the people's club.

Not a good idea to be known as the silvertails again ... I hated that ... and everything that represented.

Too late. They're back. Back to watch the high-marking exploits of Marc Murphy.
