Anyone got any hot goss?

Is Collo likely to be re-elected for another term?

How likely is it that the board will be 2 fewer than in the past?

Any new faces likely to be elected onto the board at the upcoming AGM?

Sheik, for those of us who really don't want to join yet one more forum, could you give us a bit of a preçis?

KK, the post in question mentions there is some rumoured momentum gathering to get on to the board/oust Collo. The term "influential people (including players)" was used.

The poster who started that thread at CSC is usually on the money.

Thanks, Camel.

Don't the players have better things to concentrate on than ousting the board, like PLAY FOOTY AND TRY TO WIN?

I would have thought that having to register as a member to read hearsay and someone's views defeats the purpose of having a fansite?

But Kaptain I don't see why the Board stuff has to impact the players unless there's some sort of public ruckus (is that what Sheik's link is saying?). Otherwise they'd trot out that line every time someone is pushing for a change.

It's not about whether the rumours affect the players, so much as whether some players are involved in the unrest. It would disturb me to think that rather than train, and concentrate on dragging our club up by it's bootstraps, some are more interested in backroom politicking.

What has Collo done so wrong?, (and I won't take leaving PP or the Williams suspension).
He took over when no one would touch the job and these snipers have waited until we get a few good kids in and start to turn it around. where were these folks when we couldn't get a sponsor to save our arse. The very hard work done: now these Campo types run pass for a handball.
The current board have tried their guts out in very difficult times for not a cent, and now some " influential mystery men" are going to take over, after Collo has a heart attack and we finally start to recover the debt position and player list, post the Elliot no-rebuliding lunacy and some sweet money from TV rights. I am just interested what has been so bad about Collo's board and what decisions should have been made that weren't. Cause maybe I'm alone but I don't get it

I'd like to know the same thing. For the life of me I can't see what Collo has done wrong. He's performed miracles as far as I can see.

Collo has done an outstanding job. Cannot say the same for all of the rest of the board, and some of the administration, but Collo has dug deep and really put in for us. What we do now need is an orderly succession plan. Collo knows that as he is well into his 60s that the club needs to identify the off field team to go forward. Problem is that the high profile guys Collo want are too busy, and the board is reluctant to go with some of the well qualified hard working guys that are prepared to put their hand up. These are still top business people, just not well known.

The issue Collo will face is that if he and the board does nothing other than shrink its size, then other forces will move in. He only has a limited time to get this plan in place - or look out. I would prefer an orderly change.

I agree it commin business practise, they bring in a heavy to make all the harsh decisions do all the dirty work clean the place up get it heading in the rught direction and then once things are stable he moves aside and lets the best person take over.
