Been a while since we had anyone with a realistic chance of kicking the ton.

He does seem to be matureing quickly as a player under Pagen and his form in the Wiz was fantastic, but can he maintain the consistancy throughout a full season that a player requires to reach one hundred

i think fev has the ability to, and atm is showing the form, but whether he can contain some of his on-field antics, and not stop trying when he misses a goal, gives away a free kick or whatever, like he tended to do last season, is what will determine the answer..

fingers crossed he does

We've only ever had one player to reach a century of goals in our history
( the great Jezza in 1970...115 ).

For some reason over the years we haven't produced or recruited many individuals who can kick bags of goals 'consistantly'. Probably an emphasis on team play and multiple avenues to goal by coaches.

But now with Pagans gameplan and Fev's ability this could be about to change.

I know I'ld rather finish in the eight and Fev. only kick 60 or 70 but what an exiting year we will have if both were achieved.

If he can kick 4 goals a game he should crack the tonne in the Grand Final. I think he will come very close this year but wont quite make it.

I think he will kick 4 a game. So i guess it depends on how many games he plays.

He's certainly got the talent... the only question mark was over his maturity and attitude. Judging by his Wiz Cup performance it looks like he's starting to get that part right as well. Not only that, it looks like he's added another string to his bow by being able to play further up the ground and still kick goals. Fanastic to see Fev improving himself. If he maintains his current form he will kick 100 for sure. The only thing that can stop him from achieving that is himself (barring injuries/suspensions).

Go THE SHAGS!!

I would have to issue a "Yeah, nah" in reply. I mean, he feasibly could but don't think he will - too many things have to go right for this scenario to occur [injuries, suspension, making finals].

What could happen realistically is a Coleman medal - Lloyd injured early, question marks over Gehrig's health etc

Fun times ahead

All we can ask from Fev is to continue improving. He's kicked 63 and 65 in the last 2 seasons, and hopefully he can go over 70 this year.

From the team perspective, if Big Red can chip in with 50, I think we'll be playing footy in September.

Just thinking back to Alex Jesaulenko for a moment...

What type of full forward was he...didn't think he was that big physically...did he kick a lot of his goals playing up the ground further than a conventional full forward...are there similarities to fev in this regard??

One for the long time Blues followers :D ( I didn't say old :D )

Had another look at that last post and realized it was 35 years ago that Jezza kicked those goals so probably not to many in here that would remember.....theres never an eighty year old guru around when you need one? :)

Yes he can!

Will he, I'm not sure.
Maybe.

Hopefully, maybe even in one season!

Who knows?

Fev can certainly kick 100 goals in a season. But I don't think he will, not with Pagan as coach at any rate. I think Denis would prefer a forward line that is not so one dimensional. A combined tally of 120 from Fev and Big Red would be great though.

;)

I dont think Fev will do it but god damn it i would love if it did.
I would like to see him keep up his hard running and work that he has been doing up the ground,eg:- getting body contact on players even though he has a 5% chance of getting the pill. His hard running when the ball is 50/50. For him to wake up 1 day realise that he has a huge frame on him and start using a lil bit more. Fev can take us along way this year just hope it all dont go to his head and he dont start having those hissy fits.
