This line from Chris Cavanaugh made me laugh

The Teague Train might have derailed at Carlton last year, but it is all aboard the Voss Voyage which has taken off from port with a head of steam.

I'd prefer Voss's vikings and we actually played with the same level of brutality and win at all costs attitude.

Maybe. But pretty sure most if not all of their "premier" midfield was playing, and well our "lesser" midfield (according to some) "monstered" them :)

I'm so glad we have a coach who has an aura about him.
Some of his predecessors sometimes looked like a possum in the headlights :garthp:
Go Blues!

Certainly seems to be enjoying himself at the moment. Lets hope it continues which means "winning".

Pfft, we didn't have any of our premiership players on the park!

I have a lot of belief in Voss' game plan, and its evolution over 2022.

Especially when we hear about layers the coaches will add onto current simple plane.

There's a hint of a higher game plan than what we have today, and Kennedy gives us a hint of it:

Quote:
Kennedy also alluded to Voss’ illustrious career as a player, where the triple premiership captain was known for his relentless inside the contest and his ability to get his teammates into the game.

“You look back at ‘Vossy’s’ career, it really starts at the contest so that’s where we started,” he said.

“We understand it’s going to be pretty adaptable this year with this new game plan and players getting their head around it, so we’ve kept it pretty simple so far and it starts with the contest. We’ll be just tweaking it as the year goes on.”

The 2nd half of the season might be better than this 1st half.

I hope he and Carlton have a good start to the season.

Go Blues

It’s a good point.

Probably not enough left in the pension fund.

Voss was just on SEN, I haven't listened to the audio, but here's a link…

I think I saw he'll be on AFL360 this Monday. Not sure if that'll be a regular gig for him during the season.

Thanks for the link …
Can’t think of anything worse than being a regular on the Whateley and Robbo Geelong and * footy show … lol

Thanks for the link camel.

Mentions all the stuff he's said since he's taken the reigns at Carlton: the contest; play for each other; Cripps the beast....nothing new.

Did he say the words: "Just give us the cup"?

That passage in the middle of the second when our defence set up and stopped the Richmond run was very satisfying to watch. Never happened under Teague.

What Voss sees in O’Brien, I don’t.

Adding a defensive mindset to the game plan is what many supporters have been begging for such a long time.
