Anything below 12th would be devastating, anything above 10th would be a HUGE bonus. If the boys could somehow sneak into the 8 this year, than that doubles our prospects for 09 IMO.

Between 6 and 8 wins would be great, but keeping losing margins below 10 goals would be a significant step.

Someone has started a thread saying we'll finish in the finals.
Its a shame the 2 of you couldnt get together first, it would have been good to have everyones thoughts in the one thread. 8)

I voted 9-12th but if our midfield holds out and Stevo doesn't do a Matthew Johns following his injury of last year, we'd be a shoe-in for the finals ...

I really don't know how I feel about this ...... It has to be double what we did last year ..... as a minimum!! Well, doesn't it??

BUT, if I say "8 wins" out loud, it sounds like a lot of wins.

Maybe I'm just suffering from a decent dose of Shell Shock after the last few years.

Bugger it ...... 11 wins and we finish 9th!!

i'd love us to play finals but, i can only see us winning 8 games or less.

I think we will struggle in the ruck and in defense... + with Ratts new high possession game plan, the boys kicking skills will need to be spot on, personally, i don't think they are.

So, with poor kicking skills, Poor ruck division and a big question hanging over our defense i'd say we might struggle in 08.

No doubt there will be significant improvement from previous years, a sense of belief and a reinvigorated carlton spirit that will see us fight to the end and win.

Bottom end of the eight - all going well. But need to get off to a good start, otherwise the confidence/spirit/enthusiasm built up over the pre-season may
get shot.

So a few early wins, and no big losses are needed.

Essential to finish above Collingwood though, otherwise Mandy gets $200 off me!
