Mr Pratt can consider himself right up there with luminaries such as Chitty, Jesaulenko, Doull, Silvagni and Kernahan.

Thank you Mr Pratt - Thank you.

Richard Pratt, you are a true Blue hero.

The best thing is that it's a sensible plan, and not just another hand out:

Quote:
There is more to come, a lot more, in keeping with Pratt's election promise, but the mega-rich businessman isn't simply going to eradicate the club's crippling debt ($8 million) with the stroke of a pen.

Pratt said the prudent and long-term solution lies in improved practices, not one-off handouts.

He also said on election he would make a major financial contribution in his own time. It will be a donation rather than a sponsorship and "will be more than anyone else gives".

Pratt told staff to forget about money matters and start having fun at work.

One observer said: "Richard just said, 'I'm telling you now money is no longer a problem'.

All that talk of the "future" can now happen, rather than just being talked about.

Just hearing from this article, and Stepehen M's post as well, about the improved morale and upbeat nature of the staff at the club is just fantastic.

THANKS MR PRATT!

I had a little smile on my face this morning after reading and hearing (on SEN) that story.

Fantastic.

Others are starting to fear and respect us again. All because of one man.

Two issues still remain.

1. Malouf
2. Mitchell v Pagan.

Fix up those two issues and we'll be 100% set.

Ideas for King Prett

Buy Crown and all proceeds goto the club :)
Setup some investments so the club is always getting dividends and interest coming in.
Buy Maykbe Divas babies and name them Maykbe Pratt.
Got more ideas coming :)

Pretty funny hes been at the club two weeks and invested 300k the same that smorgon invested all year :)

I don't begrudge anyone who has very decently given money to our club, Graham Smorgon or otherwise.

True true. 300k is a lot of money. Not having a go at Smorgon, just thought it was interesting. A president isn't meant to be giving handouts at all so any donations are awesome. Pratt has just given the club such a huge lift which is fantastic

But in Pratt's case some pocket change is always nice :)
