"Then you see all the names of the Carlton greats on the lockers and you think hopefully one day I can get my name up there."

Oh it will be, young Gibbs... give it time... :)

THAT'S what you wanna hear from a young dedicated Blue-boy - somehow I don't think this young fella is going to get homesick.

The news gets better and better... :-D

Whoever finds it can have it.

Campo (am I allowed to say that?) actually wore 91... it's just that his head was so far up his own arsehole, it looked like 16.

Jimmy Buckley (MegaStar with unquestionable courage & class) wore 16 for a long long time ....... that can't be undone!!

16 is still a privileged number!!

Well done Sparky Blue,

and well done to the Club too... a great read!

My only criticism is that we have a very large picture of Damien Leith, and a very small picture of Bryce and Sticks.

Anyway, the lad seems to have a wise head on his shoulders, and you can see why WH had every confidence in picking him. Go Bryce - welcome to the Blues, we love you already!

Cain Ackland will wear #11.

WTF has Bruce Doull (and John Goold & Laurie Kerr for that matter) done to deserve the handing out of number 11 to second rate ruckmen (and majority from other clubs)...since the flying doormat ...

Glenn Hawker
Earl Spalding
Mark Porter
Lindsay Smith
Barnaby French

Should be given to a young recruit.

Maybe Jackson and Flint will get new numbers as well.

If I were Craig Flint, I'd be very happy with 42.

Good to see Gibbs get 4.

#11 has recently developed a fine tradition of being assigned to older battlers - often from other clubs. Seems a fine fit for Ackland.

I'm sure Bruce would be comfortable with HIS number being given to our more low-profile workhorses.
'No fuss' is the Bruce Doull way.

Maybe leave No7 to see if we take Johnno's son as a rookie?

Had the great pleasure in meeting Shaun Hampson , Shaun Grigg and Clinton Benjamin last night. The three are good down to earth quality kids and I was impressed with their attitude although Clint hardly said a word. They told me their guernsey numbers, but I was under the influence of a bit of Christmas cheer so I may have got these wrong.

Shaun Hampson - 22
Shaun Grigg - 16
Clinton Benjamin - 20

Cheers,
Freddy

Sorry mods did not see the 'Player jumper numbers: Official--GIBBS given #4' thread. You might want to merge.

Does that mean he'll turn out to be twice the ruckman Cain Ackland is at no. 11?

I'm glad the #4 has gone to someone who won't wipe their arse on the jumper like Hamill did.
