It's funny looking back on the review period, when the media absolutely caned us, & basically said the review was an embarrassment & badly done. And that David Teague was treated terribly etc etc. It was obvious at the time that life would go on & the media was on a big slow news day.

Actually both us & the Pies were said to be a shambles when we changed coaches but it doesn't look like it worked out too badly for either of us.

Yeah, I find it very funny that we were both shit canned and yet here we are!

Most importantly though - did you win?

Yep. The thing that sticks with me is the absolute smashing the club received about the review.
The timing, the treatment of Teague, the treatment of the CEO, the uncertainty within the club. Most journo's absolutely smashed us.
Yet look at the outcomes. The timing allowed us to secure the coaches we wanted and a kick up the arse was exactly what the club needed.
A lot of people within the club vindicated and a lot of critics made to eat their words.

I thought it was going to be an apology for Friday nights performance.

What were Leigh Matthews' comments; something about having people with no idea running the club.

More or less in line with his recent critique of North's leaders.

He's bound to be right eventually, I guess.

Heard anything from president Luke Sayers this year? Not a peep

It is just another example of the stability in administration with a strong chief executive, a board that is not eating its own and a strong football boss in Brad Lloyd.

Where Blues must get better after heartbreaking 45-year first
Voss has stayed resolute in the moments of crisis, is beloved by the fans and will drive improvement over the summer.

It won’t stop anyone from feeling a sick feeling deep in the pit of their stomach across the entire summer, but it will give fans hope this is a platform to build instead of another false dawn.

A shock change that was changed on purpose by updating our constitution ourselves.

No wonder everyone hates that weasel Jeff's son.

Don’t think so
Sayers to me is someone out of touch with how to succeed at AFL level
He has been on the board for 12 years
See you later next year
I hope Paddy Kinnersley becomes our new head

If he truly meant that we should make the eight last year then he is out of touch
Cook isn’t
Don’t forget Sayers has been part of board over the last 12 years that the last 8 has been truly embarrassing

How is it his fault that we had a host of key injuries and more importantly chocked at the crucial stage.
His right, we should have played finals.

Our depth is shit
Injuries are a part of footy
A good list will cope with a dozen injuries
We didn’t deserve to play finals
We were lucky to beat Port and Hawks when we on a roll
It’s not his fault we didn’t make finals
If he truly thinks we should of played finals he is like you
Delusional
Mate the list has more holes than a piece of Swiss cheese

Im with you Surrey, of course finals should be our expectations……..we may not be premiership material, however we have enough at our disposal to be playing finals. Even considering injuries, it should be non negotiable
