For our club to embrace 'Twitter' doesn't strike me as an expensive exersize, and not an overly time consuming one. I'm happy to be corrected about my lack of knowledge in this area.

What I do know, is that organisations when looking to invest resources should look firstly at 'low cost, high impact' projects, which would be where 'Twitter' and 'Facebook' should come in.

Both these media maybe just fads, but even if they are, we have to be active in the area. If they are superseded by another medium, then we jump on board that train.

Just because many of us older members of TC don't understand or use a technology, doesn't mean we shouldn't embrace the opportunity.

The players are out on the hallowed turf on this amazing summer's morning.

View of the ground from the new rooms.

I'd just like to see the club leaders directly interacting more in small ways with the membership, whether it be by twittering or more CFCTV or whatever. Give the members more of a feeling of ownership and being part of the day to day running of the club.

I suppose it is easier to find if you're drunk...

Never too late to give the lockers a new coat of paint...

Carlton has launched its revamped Fan Page on Facebook.

The new Fan Page boosts the Blues presence on social networking giants Facebook and Twitter.

Ok, so we've established that Coutts is TOAB. My question is, who do we know of who would be better?

Nothing like old fashioned pick up the phone and call communications.

Was stitting having a coffee with colleagues this afternoon when the mobile rang, it was Ian Coutts responding to an email I had sent to him and Greg Swann last week.

I've had a crack at Ian for his OOF notifications, but also think he deserves a plug for making the phone call personally.

Facebook (with pics, videos, etc) will be infinitely more valuable as a marketing tool than Twitter, and if there is any difference between the updates on Twitter and those on Facebook, I would be very disappointed in the club. If we're not copy/paste-ing the same thing, we're idiots.
