Cant afford to rest Juddy with him missing 3 games of the season proper.

Needs match simulation big time.

I think he was referring more to JR.

juddy could miss 21 games come back for one and still get bog!!!
-i would like too see o'keefe play at half forward, think he offers a lot including a long kick.
-i want too see austin given every chance to prove himself, because if he can hold down a spot in defence it frees up waite.
-i want our forward to have waite, henderson, kreuzer, betts and yarran.
but what i want too see the most is the 2010 season!!
when do the practice matches start?

Every draftee from the last few years should be played. The NAB games are purely developmental games.

I would think that Judd's training regime would be adapted for him to be ready for round 4 and give him the best chance to be running on top of the ground in the business end of the season.

I assume as a layman that that would see him sit out the NAB cup.

6-man bench with two subs is the NAB system.

I'd like to see this:

FB: Anderson White Joseph
HB: Armfield Austin Russell
CC: Lucas Browne Grigg
HF: Yarran Henderson Garlett
FF: Walker O'hAilpin Betts

RR: Hampson McLean Gibbs

Int: Hadley, Robinson, Carrazzo, Ellard, Warnock, Davies

Subs: Kreuzer, Judd

If they wanted to hold back Kreuzer as well, they could have Jacobs as a sub. The important thing is to ensure Warnock can be spelled. Not sure if any of our other draftees will be ready for this standard of football; maybe Cachia, but I've only seen tape. O'Keeffe will be underdone.

In terms of senior players to be spelled, certainly Waite, Bower, Thornton, Jamison & Simpson are at the top of the list. They are either coming back from injuries or copped an absolute flogging last season. Scotland & Houla are long in the tooth and should be held back to prevent any issues.

Last year we seemed to run this philosophy in reverse and leave the experienced campaigners out in latter half of the pre-season, but I suspect the nature of the back-half of last season will have us looking to give them an extra week or so before competitive match work.

Perhaps we should wait until the drinking season is over before putting any more NAB squads up

We might fall short of the extended bench numbers the way things are going....

Definately.. Not to return until they've gained the total respect of the Leadership Group.

dont worry about them missing the nab games, its the home and away games they should miss!!
walker, houlihan and betts to miss the first five to ten games, not sure why robinson is in the paper? fighting? false?
the club MUST come down hard on the above names, its always the same blokes every time, never judd, murphy, gibbs, kreuzer, simpson, russell etc.
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yes iam over this shit, was going to sign up my little girl, but not sure now.

Yes a great chance for Browney, Ellard, Joe, Robbo, Errol and Yazza ( and some of the rookies) to have a great NAB Cup and grab a spot in the side for Round 1 - especially as "the three" will be training else where and may be underdone.
Go Blues!

..with the 3 players out, and a few players underdone there could be a fair chunk of our best 22 missing.. ..which is as it should be, nab cup should be used to develop the young guns..

So, an update is in order.

FB: Anderson White Joseph
HB: Armfield Austin Davies
CC: Russell Browne Grigg
HF: Yarran Henderson Lucas
FF: Robinson O'hAilpin Garlett

RR: Hampson McLean Gibbs

Int: Hadley, Carrazzo, Ellard, Warnock, Cachia, Tiller

Subs: Kreuzer, Judd

Will probably see Jacobs, Fisher and Wiggins in the mix but I'd like to see them try Tiller to experiment with the lead options up forward.

Yes its only the first week of January and we are already wishing the season to roll on.

What about this squad

Anderson, Jamison, Browne
Bower, Austin, Davies
Grigg, Gibbs,Lucas
Murphy, Henderson, O'Keefe
Yarran, Kruezer, Robinson

Warnock, McLean,Joseph

Int - Jacobs, Hampson, Russell, Scotland, Tiller,Thornton
Subs - O'hAilpin,Judd

Lets have a look a this years kids and some of last years - We need to get games out of O'Keefe this year. Could be a bolter across half forward.
