Surprised but good move by Carlton.

Frees up an extra spot on our list.

I don't know if the Hun picked this up as they ran an article about not enough room on the list for Matt Maguire.

Cloke was helpful at times but wasn't tall enough for ruck, not consistent enough up forward and looked lost whenever he went back.

Thanks for your services.

A player with limited ability but even so I would have thought Brad Fisher would go before him.

Good luck Cameron Cloke...

Fisher is contracted for one more year. Cloke has been on peanuts since he arrived.

I thought Cloke earned himself another year by playing the required amount of games this season?

Either one for me anyway.

Rumour is Cloke chose to forgo the extra year, so he can sign with Port.

Wow - the world turns full circle doesn't it. Who would have predicted that Setanta would be the one Ratts had in mind for a key forward post and Cloke would be the one delisted after THE incident in the pre season. Cloke was good value as a stand in, but had the same issues as at C'wood - too short for the ruck and too slow as a forward.

I thought he would be ahead of Fish. Still if the rumours re Port are true then it might be win-win. He is not quite AFL standard but he gets another 3 years in the AFL probably and we get a spot on the list. Let's not waste it on another delisted player. Cloke was delisted and gave good battling service to us, but the reasons he was delisted initially are the same reasons he has been delisted by us. Hope we don't try for a bit of deja vu with Matt MaGuire.

Certain times I thought Cloke was going to be a decent player for Carlton.

He did actually improve while with us, I suppose that's all you could ask.

couldn't agree more - but why would you delist cloke and keep fisher

i would have thought that cloke leads well and kicks miles better than fisher, is a presence and is strong - can't fathom some decisions.

maybe those who see carlton live eaxh week can enlighten me as we only see games on telly

Fisher's father isn't a Damir.

Fisher isn't a bad egg.

If we take Fisher, Cloke, Wiggins and Johnson off the list, we would have to replace them using picks 75, 91 and 107.

I'd rather have Wiggins, Fisher and Johnson in our bottom six than the underdeveloped dregs you will draft that late.

Apparently we'll be scraping the bottom of the barrel with picks 43 and 59, yet alone with even later picks.

If Wiggins, Fisher and Johnson are rated higher than the available players and able to fill a need, it makes sense that they stay.

Like it or not, Fisher will get a game next year.

Even Geelong and St Kilda had hacks getting a game this year.

So why wouldn't Fisher stay as a fall back solution :?:

Or should we play Tiller before he's ready :?:

Don't forget, Carlton will need three players to delist next year as we start picking at selection 18 to 20. :donk: :banghead:
