I hope it gets bagged in every media outlet all year - then its doing its job

I think some people have been weakened by the recent past - they'be become Gollum's - years living in the dark of the cellar can do that

we are coming

we are cooking up a feast

and I want every opposition fan out there to bag the shit out of me and my club.

makes things back to normal

we did, after all, once have the bluebirds.....

Why in the flower do we think we need a slogan?

FFS, we're a football club not a flower soft drink!

Actually, no- we are a soft drink.

In order for us to stay at the top of being one of the most successful/most hated football clubs we must brand ourselves just like a soft drink does,(there's a couple of fairly well known ones with a fanbase in the billions worldwide). Its an integral part of being a modern club. The better you do it, the better able you are able to build the football department and boost performance during a game, to create an environment players want to be part of (or traded to), to provide for members in such a way that they can tangibly see that our club Carlton IS better than any other !@#$%& worthless club.

If you just want to follow a football club go support someone in the Amateurs, or St Kilda.

!@#$%&, some of you whingers on here go on like you were the only ones to ever support the Blues.

Somehow I don't think a slogan along the lines of "We're Carlton, and we're going to try our best!" will do much for the membership.

Its pretty lame, and I dont think they would sell too many t-shirts, but it will achieve its goal of stirring up some attention so that's the main thing.

i think its great, it will do what its meant to do and thats get people talking about it.

To all you people saying why do we need a marketing slogan, i bet you're the same people saying we didnt need to move from optus oval, or we shouldn't put a sponsor on the back of our jumper and the list goes on...

AFL clubs need to be run like a business, the filth a powerful because of Eddie, Geelong are the same. we need strong marketing campaigns, publicity, memberships, merchandise sales and so on to survive or more importantly be competitive. Inst that why we're developing a state of the art training facility and tore down the most famous stand in our clubs history in the process???

As a club we have had a tiring 2-3 months with everything that has happened so we all need to get behind the club and start supporting them off the and on the field.

Does anyone here remember Essendon* and Collingwood's 2009 slogans?

Practically everyone who follows an AFL team remembers Carlton's.

Agree that to do its job a slogan needs to get people talking, and is an important part of total marketing.

This one may get people talking, but it is crap, and an embarassment. Can't see how this one will capture the
imagination of reluctant fans to buy a membership. Can't see how it will fire up the opposition to hate us even more - they
won't be able to stop laughing for a start

Last years was clever, edgy, and great graphics.

This years is overlong, the message is corny, and the graphics are very uncool.

I give it a minus 5 out of ten. I hate it.

My first impression was
It's slowly changing to   at the thought of opposition fans getting their knickers in a twist over it.

That slogan sucks. A lot.

Still, I guess it could have been worse.

It's not like they don't have a few of their own.
