What, exactly, do you think a slogan is designed to do, anyway? Give people bragging rights on bigfooty, or help sell memberships?

Loved last years slogan, not a fan of this one though.

They don't even get points for being original.

Talked about for the wrong reasons i think.

Essendon* made it a joke with their "They know we're waiting" slogan and we looked plain silly after the second loss.

All year that slogan was talked about in the media - which would have been a good thing had the reports been positive. But most of the time it was "They are coming.......... they're just a little slow!".

Talked about for the wrong reasons? People take the piss out of Just Do It (best slogan ever)... people take the piss out of pretty much every successful slogan ever written. Kevin 07 quickly became Kevin 747. Who cares? Great slogan, absolutely worked its arse off. The mere fact that people satirise something means that it's entered the public consciousness, which is the whole point of a slogan.

Essendon* made a big mistake with their tit-for-tat slogan. All it did was reinforce ours. Thanks very much bombres.

Personally I think this one's a bit naff, but I reckon the kiddies and the nuffies will love it (and they're the target audience for this kind of thing, they really are). The rest of us shouldn't worry about it.

Shocker, worst slogan ever, cant believe somebody got paid for that!!! Stand by for 10000000000 cooking 1-liners in the headlines. No idea which segment of the footy membership buying public this is meant to appeal to. People that followed the Rock 10 years ago? Appaling, looks like it was mashed together over a couple of beers on a friday night. Embarrased to be signing up for a membership under this banner.
