The current banner on the Carlton website is worth a mention. :smoking:

We really need "More cups than anyone else in the AFL".
Have to beat Essendon* to it and if we don't expect them to ridicule us like they did this year.

That's long enough to wait...I'm getting very thirsty.
I can't believe my first game was the 1968 GF, and after that day it was a procession of GF's & Cups for me and my beloved Blues:

1968 CUP
1969 GF just missed out
1970 CUP
1972 CUP
1973 GF Balme stole it
1979 CUP
1981 CUP
1982 CUP
1986 GF Dunstall's day
1987 CUP
1993 GF Bumbers cheated salary cap
1995 CUP
1999 GF Umpires rigged it

* 30 years and 13 GFs / 8 Cups...not a bad introduction to The Bluebaggers

* I wasn't even born when we won the other 8 Cups in the previous 70 years.

* 15 years is a long time waiting for the Cup...but I know we're Cumming :gift:

* I love the Banner.

I noticed a quote today from Collingwood A/C Nathan Buckley where he said “The guys are coming off what you would say was a successful year last year, finishing top four,”

I hope we never accept top 4 as being "successful", because it's NOT!!!!.

It's been 15 loooong years.. a lot has changed since those glory days ...let's now be quietly proud of our 16 historical successes until the day we add to that tally.

2007 was a more successful year, remember they lost the GF to Geelong by 5 points.

could be part of a seasonal membership promotion.

Spring Racing Carnival - More cups than Cummings
Summer of Tennis - More grand slam cups than Federer
H&A season - More cups than any other team..oh wait equal to Essendon*, but won more games than them.

What ya think?

How soon we forget, haha...

Ask a Collingwood supporter and they'll tell you they would have flogged Port by 114pts too ... IF they beat Geelong.

Collingwood, more ifs, buts and maybes than any other club in the league.
