(possible) Announcements prior to list lodgement 1

1) Stevens retirement official
2) Delistings Bentley, Cloke and maybe one other Wiggins or Fisher.
3) Jacobs to be promoted to senior list
4) Ellard to be retained as a 3rd year rookie
5) Gartlett to be retained as 2nd year rookie or even promoted to senior list

These are the announcements I am expecting and in Bentley's case hoping will happen.

I though Cloke automatically earned himself another season by playing the required games in '09?

I think its more Cloke's decision. The games may have earned him the option to extend his contract. He would then have the choice to extend or not.

From how the press release was worded, sounds like we're committed to just the 2 picks in the ND, and then if a deal for Cloke can be arranged, an extra pick in the PSD, with the door not shut on delisting Wiggins or Fisher either.

If the extra delistings aren't announced today , they will be before the next list lodgement , which is due around november 15th .

That's right, clubs can now have one of their rookie elevations counted as a selection.

I would like to see us delist at least one more. IMO, Fisher should be one of them, subject to working out the possible salary cap issues associated with paying him out.

And, like most others, I'm surprised Bentley is still on the rookie list...
