Freo on Gold Coast again?

I think Carrarra is having a major face lift so I'm not sure if any games will be there next year

Freo - WC - Rich - Bombers - Pies - Lions - cats all twice - It means two trips to the west - Most likely one to AAMI - one at the Gabba and one at the SCG - 5 at worst 6 interstate - not a bad draw if you ask me

6 trips interstate?

At worst 6 most likely it will be 5 - we played 6 plus a final this year

Great.

2 matches in Perth again.

Another couple of years of no Sydney matches coming up again, I guess......

Given we invariably get 2 games in Perth anyway, to get return games against both of them in Melbourne is a bonus.

Why do we get stuck playing Richmond in their Grand Final in Round 1 every year on a non-Easter Thursday night?

Seriously though, I thought Carlton (and other big clubs such as Collingwood) weren't ever fixtured to play at Manuka Oval because of the small venue size, yet this new stadium in Blacktown only holds 10,000 people, whilst Manuka Oval holds 15,000 odd.. :banghead:

Instead we get the Doggies v... the Lions ... just what I want, to go watch Fev in that unflattering colour combination :donk:

Yes, but it's important to get Carlton/Collingwood/Essendon* up here to get bigger crowds attending.

Collingwood played at North Sydney Oval a couple of years back.

Yes, but it's important to get Carlton/Collingwood/Essendon* up here to get bigger crowds attending.

Collingwood played at North Sydney Oval a couple of years back.

That's true, but the same could be said for Canberra too.

Constantly having teams such as WCE, Freo, Dogs, Sydney, Roos and Melbourne doesn't exactly excite too many people..
