I like Hampson. The best thing to come out of Qld in a long time...

Heard the same interview and had the exact same thought - warm and fuzzy. Hampson hasn't hada the hype yet but if he improves as much in 10 as he did in 09 James Hird will write articles on the Fab 2 ruck combo

And hopefully Kruze will be tearing it up in the forward line too.

I think we need to draft a ruckman this year, even as a rookie. We can't keep all of Kreuzer, Warnock, Hampson and Jacobs (assuming all are fit) - one won't be getting a game and will want to move on. We should get good currency for him.

If that is the case, need to draft and develop the next ruckman. I love the idea of having an extra ruckman....keep the best, trade the other at over the odds prices.

Lots of potential and is still very raw at the moment. Needs time to grow in to his body. Looks unco when he runs but so did Dean Cox when he first started.

Story goes that when he was drafted he had the most awkward running style out of anyone at the Eagles.

I was watching Hampson and Sauce train together last pre season. Amongst other drills, they were doing sprints in the goalsquare.
Hampson was almost lapping Sauce each lap. The guy is a freak. I would have laughed at Port adelaide if they offered pick 9.
Give him time. If he can keep relatively injury free, he'll be unstoppable in a couple of years.

in 2010 those pack marks like the one he almost took in the 1st half against Essendon* will stick. this guy is only going one way and that is up.

i even see him as a potential FF.

Effort on the wing against the Cats summed this guy up - sprinted to get to the contest and threw himself into it with no regard for his body, caused the turnover which resulted in a goal. Will play in our next premiership.

Good from a marketing perspective as well - quite popular amongst the female fan base...
