My cousin tells me he saw Juddy and his lovely lady snowboarding near Lake Taupo here in NZ last week.

He said Rebecca was in a nice skin tight white outfit.

Got me thinking, I wonder if the club can put any kind of restrictions on out of seaon activities? I would have thought that snowboarding may be out given the chance of injury.

Wouldn't have thought so, unless it's in his contract.

Sure they can strongly recommend players don't take part in such activities, but I wouldn't think restrict them.

It is common in some other sports for player contracts to include "dangerous activities" clauses.

I don't know if AFL player contracts have such clauses.

He has an extra three weeks to get over any soreness associated with Snowboarding.

Rebecca's impact on his supect groin is probably of more concern in the off season.

I remember the Chicago Bulls were furious when Luc Longley injured his shoulder while surfing.
I think Chris Judd is paid enough money that he could avoid potentially dangerous pursuits.

Bugger the snowboarding, it's the bungee jumping I'd be worried about!

I'd say there would be something in his contract especially being paid over a million a year.

i dont think snowboarding is the issue here,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

The closest ski resort to Lake Taupo is Turoa or Whakapapa on Mt Ruapehu. Bit of a hike from Taupo though.

Didnt know the 'J' man liked to Schralp the Gnarrrr!!! Ruapehu still has a 2m base!!!! I've tried to ski there a few times but it is always a white out!!! Last time I couldnt see the end of my skis!!! What's the bet they are staying in Oakune!! Who is our TC rep from Oakune NZ??

Depending on what he does (no extreme sh1t like a cab 720 or base jumping with a board etc) i cant see how snowboarding or skiing is any more dangerous than surfing/motorbike riding etc. Plenty of the players surf, I'm sure there are a few who ride bikes. As long as he isnt jumping off backcountry cliffs or competing in extreme freestyle rail jams, shredding around a ski resoort somewhere isnt overly dangerous. Shame really, I liked to think that Judd would be more of a Skier than a snowboarder.

I did however remember reading an article earlier this year where Barry Hall said after he 'retired' he went snowboarding at Mt Hotham. In the article he said it was great because he hadnt been allowed to do it whilst he was playing. I'd like to think that this is why I was never an AFL footballer, because my love of the mountains caused such an emotional drain (conveniently forgetting my lack of ability or skill at either).

It was reported months ago that Juddy and the Twigster were going to tour NZ post season in a Winnebago.

I heard an interview with an AFL player (cant remember who) and he was saying that he wasnt allowed to go snow skiing. Makes sense, I knew someone who did an ACL skiing.
