From an outsiders pov he seems gone.

Early wraps were he had great take off speed on the lead and strong marking hands on the lead ...the makings of a full forward.

Still only 21 years old.

Now with Fev gone will he get a real opportunity or is he finished?

I remember back in the pre season, 2008 I think? I was really impressed with him and really thought he would become something.
There were a couple of games he kicked a few goals, with limited game time and playing second fiddle to Fev.
Then once the normal season came around I don't think we gave him another game which I was a bit disappointed with.
Maybe say to him you've got 6 weeks as the no. 1 forward, show us what you can do?
Then again I haven't seen him in the 2's this year and reports aren't flattering

Redraft him as a rookie if need be because I think we need the space on our primary list.

IMO Edwards will be delisted as he doesn't have the application required.

Problem is that if you cant do it in the VFL its hard to blame lack of opportunity at senior level for the failure.

It's the worst part of the year.
Jake started showing a bit down back in the Ressies, but with Henderson, #12, Tiller, Austin all in the mix as potential forwards ...... doesn't look promising for Jake.
Harts is probably in the same boat.
Time will tell.

Harts has been told already apparently. I'll try to find the thread.

Its not sad....in previous off seasons we have probably had 10+ players that weren't worthy of a spot on the list, but still had to to retain most of them.....that was sad.

I'm sorry if you have any personal affiliation with Jake, but he has hardly set the world on fire in the VFL, and you just need to show more during 4 years in the system.

Its not sad, thats the way of things, AFL is a cutthroat business.

If you arent good enough to make the cut, then you will be discarded.
