hey, chris...

I guess you are 1 year older and 1 year better...

wot about you wake up barnesy or clint so we can set a date ??

looks like we can't play the sainters until november, so an earlier game against you blokes would suit us fine...

regards,

rollo

the trick is, polar, you don't ask... :smoking:

the sainters are talking about asking the collingwood guys to make up a 4th team for the day, and to move the venue to vic park...

don't think us dees would have a problem with that, although we would be saving our best efforts to grind the black and white... :fight:

regards to all (collingwood supporters excepted),

I have posted something on nick's for them to discuss. there is a vested interest in the nick's crowd doing the right thing by the council. besides, it'd be great to host everyone at vic park and watch you all break out in a cold sweat.

didn't occur to me, polar, but now I see the wisdom...

thinking and erudite collingwood supporters ??

(I must be dreaming this)...

let's get the date sorted, and the participants sorted before the talkingcarlton people get tired of supporters of other teams clogging up their site...

p.s. barnesy, could you change the heading on this thread from mentioning "demonology" to mentioning "demonland" - most of the bluff and bluster comes from the former but almost all the players come from the latter...

I've wanted a round robin for years, but the SS guys thought it wouldn't be in the spirit of what these games are about. Glad they've finally seen the light.

Get the Pies involved and hold it at Vic Park. That'd be great fun and a really enjoyable day.

Having a round robin also helps with any injuries, excess numbers etc etc so you can spread the numbers over each of the matches.

Looking forward to it.

Absolutely, it would be a great day.

Everyone gets to be involved and have a run around, you can have a chinwag in-between games.

The perfect footy social.

Exactly.

Myself and Slyuss are the only two players from TBVs first forum game. Slyuss, I think, has missed one or two over the journey and I have only missed one and that was our last game against the Dees.

Loves taking part in these matches and it's also a great way to put a face to a name of someone you have been posting with all this time on TalkingCarlton. Friendships have been formed from these matches. Guys like ItalianStyles and Fullmont101 are now best mates because they took part in these games and their friendship has gone on from there.

pm me directly your sign on name please.

if you are accepting for others please pm me specifically their sign on name or name.

It is important that we maintain the balance of ensuring integrity of the games.

Carlton supporters please.

I will recommence the list on Saturday.

We must get the word out

We need scorer, goal umpire, and umpire.

thanks for the change in the heading on this thread...

I'm from demonology myself, but credit where it's due...

may be asking for another change soon to add the pies...

sainters now on board with a 4-way round robin involving the pies as well, and have suggested:-

2 x 20 minute quarters for each game...

game 1 at 12pm

game 2 at 12.50 pm

game 3 at 1.40pm

game 4 at 2.30pm

no finals...

you guys OK with this ??

only remaining problem is I don't have a telephone contact for the pies, and we may have venue problems...

regards,

rollo

Sit Paulie at FF and Clint in the guts.

Good to see BDG is on board too.

I might be able to secure us a ruckman which is a possie we have always struggled with.
