I remember that thread you started LB.

You sat next to Juddy's old man all evening at a Golf gig and you 2 spoke about Carlton and Christopher all night...then you shared the salient points from your discussion exclusively for all of us at TC.

Great thread and great man is Swanny.

Don't you remember what Pratt said about getting the best available, and the best available is not someone looking for a job but someone in demand and in a job: too valuable an assett to be out of a job. Then he wanted his man: Swanny. That's good enough for me.

We are blessed to have Swanny, no ifs and no buts; he's the best in the business.

Oh and Eddy Everywhere was really happy to lose his CEO from under his nose....to the mighty Blues.

That's right Bondi, what Pratt said was that he didn't want the best available, he wanted the best.

He was told that the best were Brian Cook at Geelong And Swanny at Collingwood. Pratt said he didn't want to upset Geelong President Frank Costa as he was a big Vissy customer (Costa's company is the largest wholesaler of fruit and veg in Aust) so he went and got Swanny.

That's right!!!

Great stuff Teddy.

What a fantastic story that is...I have to remember it word for word. One of the great stories.

Like Packer story where he meets with the Yank who asked Packer at the Casino "Do you know how much I'm worth?" Packer replied "I'll toss you for it". Longer yarn than that.

Nevertheless great stories are great stories, especially if there's a great outcome for the Bluebaggers.

Great real stories

@#$%&! Greg Swann. This decision reeks of non-Carltonism (is that a word) and could only be made by an outsider who is willing to risk our premiership over some stupid principle that he's set. Bottom line, he does this job for money, he will still get his money premiership or not.

@#$%&! sheep on the internet who follow the bell Fevola is ringing and cheer a moron.

The club was poor and a rabble with Fevola kicking goals before Pratt arrived and signed Swann.

Swann's influence on Carlton will long outlast Fevola's.

No Swann, no Judd.

I know which party I'm backing.

LMAO, I'd like to see you say @#$%&! off sheep to my face.

Nah ah buddy, Judd is now wasted because we will not win a premiership in his era. We would have been better off keeping JK, 3 and 18 but we chose to go the Judd/Fev path and now we have screwed it up. As things stand now I would be wrapped to swap judd for JK and picks 3 and 18 because we're certainly going to miss them over the next 8-10 years. Kudos to the Carlton board for @#$%&! it up all over again!!

Well if Swann was the only one who made the decision I guess you could be right...but it would have been unanimous. Fev has sraped through from other incidents before by one or 2 votes...but not this time.

The decision was a Club decision, not an individual.

You don't think this decision has been heavily influenced by Swann Mrs caz?

Or by someone that doesn't let 'Carlton' emotion interfere with the decision making process.

Tell me Mrs Caz, if Fev goes do you see Judd playing in a premiership at Carlton? And if the answer is no then do you agree that Judd was a waste of time?

Hellas, unlike Blueman, I can not predict the future!

I don't want to see Fev go. I don't want to see him go to the Pies or Essendon*. I don't want to see him rip it up at another club.

But I can't see him changing. So in my view a decision had to be made, or else the Club just looks weak.

Maybe we won't get a good enough trade for him, and will have to swallow our pride and try again.

Maybe we will get an interesting trade and, along with other possible results of trade week, we have a new and exciting dynamic for our football team.

I'll wait and see with (cue Frankenfurter) "antissssss...ipationnnn".
