Now its time to get back to business.

I for one never want to see him associated with St. Kilda again, while he is on the Carlton payroll.

At Carlton we don't laud players who never had the ultimate success.

Hamill, Murphy or Whitnall will never be asked about 99. St. Kilda should stop talking about 71 & 97 & 09

We have a job to do now, and that is winning No. 17.

Training starts in 5 weeks.

Brilliantly put

Harvey can easily be involved in a premiership.

Why become the next Brownless?

Become PART of a premiership at a club who knows how to win them

If you're referring to Harvey attending the GF (only) I can't see much wrong with that.

SOS has been known to attend Carlton games.

As for 99 my most vivid memories are not of the GF but the prelim, 2 memories stand out,
Fraser Browns match winning tackle and Justin Murphy's celebratory ''dance''.

But as you say training is in 5 weeks, and I'm sure Robert Harvey will slip into work mode and play his part
in continuing the Blues rise.

I think it's also the story written about him where he talked about how much he hopes they win, as well as other times during the year when he's commented publicly about how good their list and how great it is to see his former team do well etc.

Harvey's a professional, so I've got no doubt he's focused on the Blues in his official role. But you can understand why people might get annoyed.

fades in comparison to when his old teammate Frawley gave a pre-match speech to the Saints while he was coach of Richmond - lowest of the low.

Wasn't happy with Pagan going to Archers 300th when the ants were playing at the same time.

and so SOS now can't attend any Carlton functions because of his involvement at St Kilda?

Fair dinkum, the blokes allowed to be involved with the team he played 300+ games with.

And is Judd to be condemned for speaking before Cousins 250th?

Well Judd didn't really inspire the boys did he?

I have no problem with Harvey attending the Saints GF game at all. I'm sure every other assistant coach was there as well. Also like the way he referred to the Saints as "them" and not "we" in his interview before the game. That said, would swap Harvs for SOS any day of the week.

I don't have any problem with Harvey fronting up to the Saints on GF day unless Carlton was playing against them. The guy was part of the Moorabbin furniture for like 15 years

Get a grip.

The man played his whole (extremely distinguished) career with the one club.

It is not possible to put that aside, especially when that club is as starved of success as St Kilda. Completely different story if they were successful during his time there.

I would think less of him if it didn't hit him in the guts.

on the one hand we have people complaining about our "boys club", and yet we don't want any passion to be displayed by others.

How dare he do that.

Its like going to the pub with old work mates and having a drink together. Disgraceful.

Club has to make a stand. Fine him 10k :)

Good on him !

St.Kilda has been 50% of his life . Carlton is a paid job .

When training starts , he'll be there doing his job to the best of his ability .

If were playing in St.Kildas place on saturday , I hope SOS would have been there .

Well said

No need for double standards just because it's St Kilda.

I have no doubt in my mind that SOS would have been there to support us if we had been playing the Cats, and that is the way we would expect it to be.

Harvey being there to support the Saints in no way compromised his position at Carlton - he was just another spectator ffs!

Get a grip!! The bloke has sweat blood for that club. If we were playing against them I'd expect his loyalty but our blokes finished up a couple of weeks ago. No matter who or what he does with the rest of his life, Harvey will always be a saints legend. Paying him a wage for 11 months doesnt give you the right to take that away.

I have no memory of David Parkin ever being asked about Hawthorn while he was on the pay roll.

David was and is a Hawtorn legend, he understands that you back the people who pay you.

I am sure he would have politely declined to comment. A no comment leaves the press with little to go on.

St. Kilda has never managed to deal with the hangers on, so thats one reason they have had no success.
